Well, on the way to work this morning had a slight minor MAJOR accident. Doing about 65 on the highway right rear tire blew out (entire sidewall just missing) the jolt and the lose of traction caused me to spin out, spun about 3 times and pegged a guardrail with the front drivers side kept spinning and pegged it with both sides of the rear.

3 of the 4 fenders are toast, rear axle is snapped from the jolt of the drop with the tire gone, front drivers control arm is snapped, entire drivers side of the car is scratched, dented and i'm leaking either brake or powersteering fluid, ac fluid and tranny fluid.

Power steering is completly gone (had to straighten the wheels to put on the towtruck). About 95% sure she's totalled.

Important thing is.....it sounds like you are safe and not injured.

You can always get a new KJ.

All tha maters is that you walked away, it's only sheet metal. I've cracked up a few over the years, and it took a while to be able to say " its only sheet metal".

yea all parties involved were fine. My girlfriend was driving at the time. I was asleep...scary to wake up to a loud pop followed by a crash, followed by spinning.

I'm just thankful it didnt flip.

They were Michelin Cross Terrain tires. Have about 25K miles on them. Driven mainly on highway/backroads. Offroaded a couple times.

Just has the tires rotated maybe 300 miles ago. Obviously nothing wrong with them then. I blame the tire personally. Flat smooth road, no pot holes, just had the cruise control set at 65. Nothing in the tire that would've caused any harm.

If you were driving in CT along i-95 Then I would not say flat road with out pot holes....LOL

glad to hear that no one was hurt during this mishapp. I agree with you waking up to a pop and a bang. that is pretty scary.....

All that spinning and no flip ... wow! That either took a bit of skill or a good bit of luck to keep that situation from getting worse.

I wonder if the skids helped by giving you a lower center of gravity?

Glad to hear all walked away. I have been in spinning rides like that. Beats the hell out of anything they could ever have at Six Flags.

Sounds like your GF should look into a NASCAR carreer. she got some "Don't Panic Under Fire" Tallent.

next day or two you will dicover muscles that you didn't know you had.

good luck with the insurance company.

I have spun a suzuki samurai around a few times without flipping, although I wouldnt recommend it in either the zuk or the KJ  . Got it straight again without hitting anything....I was still going about 20 MPH..BACKWARDS  Lucky me 8)

Be careful and pay attention to each other for awhile, sometimes an injury wont show up for a few days and it may take another person to notice something isnt quite right.

I was wondering who would be the first to ask about parts.

I didn't have the GoNads, but while we were on the subject....

What year KJ was that again?
