Lifted with new Tires and Wheels

I finally got around to taking some photos and posting.
Rusty's 2.5 Suspension Lift
Rear spring isolators and Clevis lift in front
Cragar Soft 8s
General Grabber AT2s

And a big thanks to Tommudd for helping me lift it.

The lift looks great!! Really like the tire/wheel combo. Post more pictures after you get it off-road.

Next project is to get the skid plate and the hitch back on lol. I figure I can just jack the back end up a bit, put it on the stands then use the jack to hold the skid in place while I bolt it on. After that I need to figure out lights

are those stock bs wheels?

The wheels are Soft 8s from Cragar. I just used the stock lug nuts, maybe in the future I will buy new ones that are all black.

I like the silver lugs on the black wheels.

I might just do that myself. What kind of paint was that? saves me from paying $12 a cap for the wheels

I've seen some use the plastic center cover from stock steel wheels. Looks good and you can paint them or leave them silver.

I'm not sure if the caps on my stock wheels are steel or not. I have a feeling that they are plastic. Its a shame I don't have a computerized milling machine handy. then I could make some caps with the Lost Midwest symbol etched in.

Thats a pretty darn good idea. I'm a product designer and can design those and get them made. If you think there would be enough interest in them to offset the cost, I'm game.

I just dont know if there are that many people with steel wheels on here. But, I dont think there would really be any up-front cost involved. Theres no tooling, just part and labor production costs. And whatever time we would spend, but who cares about that, right?

I made that mount myself using a piece of L steel from the hardware store and coated it in a rubberized spray. I can take some photos of it with the wheel off so you can the whole thing.

I've seen that too, but I've got no idea how on earth they get the stock centercap that screws to the wheel to stay on an aftermarket wheel.

Either that or I'm just special and I'm the only one that has em like that :lol:

Maybe we are talking about two different things, I was refering to the plastic center cap on the stock steel wheels. It is held on by the 5 lug nuts.
