Too bad you are on the other side of the sound. I am going to order my lift in a couple weeks and wouldn't mind having someone to help out (and I would help you out of course  ). I just got my skids on and I have had some shackles sitting in my garage for a few months that I am finally going to mount to the front this weekend.

Have you taken any trails through the Olympic National Park? I looked around google maps and it looks like there are a forest service roads that wander through it. There is a ferry from Fort Casey to Port Townsend.

I've checked with Les Schwab and the guy I talked to listed only the 2-inch Tuff Country lift. I'll have to check with them again, plus, a Schwab Center a few miles out of town to see what exactly they've got. I'm not sure what other shops around here do lifts for a KJ. I've talked to a couple and they just shake their heads and suggest Les Schwab anyway. Port Angeles has a ton of lifted Chevys, Fords, Jeeps & Toyotas, but, I haven't seen a lifted Liberty yet. Most of the time, I see older people driving Libby's, so, that could be why. :?

By the way, spoonplugger, I noticed you live close to some of my old stomping grounds. I lived in Stevenson for a few years and also worked at the Bonneville Dam. Great area down there for spending time up in the hills.

As far as going off the beaten path up here, I haven't done any off-roading yet in the KJ. Been busy with work lately. Figure I'll have some time to check out a trail or two before fall (and hockey season) begins. Maybe head west out to Joyce and Lake Crescent to see what kind of dirt I can play in.

Les Schwab will do the DayStar spacer lift and I believe Revtec but on the dry side they got a little hesitant when I first asked. Kind of the same reception as asking for two snow tires. They initially told me that on something like the Liberty there was too much of a stablility issue so they couldn't do them. When I showed them their DayStar products in their catalog they finally started working up a quote. I would love to do an OME on my CRD but would rather have someone else do it so if you get Schwab to do an install let me know.

If you go to the ARB/OME site and look at the dealer list, you'll see Les Schwab on there. They can get me one here in Portland, but there are two shops in the Clackamas area that are giving me a better deal on my CRD lift. My Jeep dealer is also listed but they are the most expensive.

I'll take a look at the ARB/OME site and check with Schwab's in my area. Maybe different Schwab's will do different lifts. Never know 'til you check, I guess.

Cowcatcher, I'll let you know if I go that route. The quote for the 2-inch Tuff Country was $432 installed, so, that's not a huge amount. Granted, if I could do the lift myself, I'd save major $$$. Since I can't, I have no problem paying a pro to do it right.
