Okay, So All of the fender flares, rear bumber, and the door "bumpers" were all the original Gray Plastic. Like the front bumber is still.....
The roof rails were powder coated black... Just sanded down to smooth...

First I took off the fender flares, rear bumber and the roof rails and had them coated at Line-X. I believe they may have Scuffed them up a little before applying the primer.... Which was a bulldog primer that sticks to plactic etc....
After they were done being Line-Xed.
I put everything back on..... Including about 50-60 plastic rivots. I had to get all new rivots....Got them Online, along with a plactic rivot gun....

I was going to order new "Door bumpers" and have them line-Xed , and throw the others away...But new "door bumpers " were more expensive than getting the entire bottoms of my doors Line-Xed. Plus I had a lot of scratches from trees along the bottom... Not any more...... :D

Anymore Questions..... feel free to ask..

well i have the chrome things on my doors, so that is why i was wondering.

0311_DoC Your best bet is to go to the Line-X dealer and ask them about the chrome.....
If I were you I'd sand the chrome off...... It's going to be covered anyway.

Woodykj Well my Line-X dealer was very reasonable... they threw in the roof rails for free since I sanded them down and taped them off.....
It was also cheaper because I took all the parts to the dealer and they didn't have to "Mask" my jeep.... Except for the bottom of the doors
Also I told them that I would be back with a metal bumper........
Just the Line-X was about 500....
I also bought all new plastic rivets, plastic rivet gun, and the Front fender clips....
P.S DO NOT BUY THE RIVETS FROM THE DEALER!!!! I think they run about $2-4 A PIECE......
I ordered mine from KEYTONE online...
The gun was $28: Part Number MA48000
and the rivots were $8 for 20:Part Number MA48150 I suggest buying 3pkgs
Hope this helps.................Chris

So I Backed up into a Plymouth Grand Caravan last night.... Completely smashed his taillight etc.....HOWEVER
Thanks to my Frankenlift and Line-X, all that happened to the Jeep was................ NOTHING! :D
The Lift saved my taillight because it was higher...and my Line-X saved my bumper from any dent or scratch...
WoW, I'm so happy nothing happened to my Liberty that I don't even care about paying for his damages...

the brand of the chrome covers"which are in the trash"is autotecnica. and the front inserts are just a metal mesh that i picked up at an auto store. I drilled into the grill with a dremel and attached with metal wire....

I got bored today and painted my rear wheel with black wheel paint.
It took about 3 hrs to sand, mask, and paint. I Can't wait to put it on once it is dry.. I will post a pick of it later...
I was going to do the rest today but too tired.
Oh and I took the photo with a camera phone Poor res.... Trust me it looks even better in person.

thought about it but it would have covered the Jeep Logo. Plus these rims are out the door in a year or so.
