There are 2 reasons I didn't mount my CB there. First, the passenger seat would not move all the way forward, and with teenage kids you need to move the seat from time to time. It also is in the way of any one in the passenger seat. Second, you can't open your glove box.

Aside from those reasons, it looks like a good install.

Someone needs to get themselves a keychain. Get an AF keychain, LOST keychain, or Buckley keychain. There's always that rock looking keychain.

Put that tab somewhere safe (not in the KJ). If I remember correctly, doesn't that have the key id # on it. Don't shoot me if I am wrong....old age ya know.

I have mine mounted in the same location and my glove box opens just fine, also got my winch controller next to it also,no problems in 2 years with it being there.Oh and my passenger seat moves all the way forward enen with the wicnh controller being way farther back then the CB,but why would I ever need the passenger front seat moved all the way forward anyway :?:

no it dosent have the id number on it, but it has all the vital information so that if someone were to pick up my keys, they'd know to look for a black 2007 jeep liberty sport (it says all of that on the tag) in the parking lot.
luckily this is my spare key. sometimes after a long night i forget where i put my everyday keys, so i just grab the spare! lol

Why would anyone want an AF keychain? Buckley wouldn't be too bad considering that the Colorado Army National Guard flies Blackhawks out of there. The best bet though would be to go with a LOST keychain.

Pete....I need a keychain that says Navy, Air Force, and Army on it (since I have been in all three).

Troy, I have moved mine forward a lot when putting long items in the cargo area and the rear seats are down. The front seats don't fold forward very far but does move forward a lot. When I had the rear bumper in the back, I had to have the seat all the way forward.

I vote for a wild looking keychain that just isn't normal. How about a Prairie Dog foot instead of a rabbits foot? A vial of Buckley's asbestos-ladened dirt? You could pour it into someones drink or food if they are mean to you. *Just kidding for those thinking I am serious*
I have an idea but won't tell ya of my keychain idea. It would be a tourist keychain idea.

If that CB plugs into the power outlet, then you could just toss it into the glove box or the center console when not in use.

It looks like your CB is alot smaller than mine... I know when I fit tested mine in that spot I had the problems mentioned above. But either way it is your ride, and if your happy with it, than I am happy with it. Here is a link to my install.

If you notice that I never said to get an Army keychain (I know better than to suggest that). I still say the best keychain to get would be a LOST one. Come to think of it, hold out on the keychain until next MOAB and get one there.
