Hey everone. Love the site. I was looking for a good KJ site that would compare the the XJ site I belong to and here I've found it.
I have a ratio question for someone who might know...or give a good guess.
I bought my 05 sport and misplaced my window sticker so I asked the kid at the DC parts counter to print a build sheet for my KJ vin. I noticed on the print-out that my KJ is listed as being equiped with 3.73 gears. Then I ran across the lost window sticker in the glove box and it claims that per the option, it is equiped with 3.55. My axles have no identifying tags or marks as to what it is. So aside from wanting to climb under the vehicle and count rotations, does anyone have a guess on what to believe? The build sheet, or the window sticker?
Thanks
Patrick

Does it have a tow package? Is it an automatic or standard?

Might be 3.73. Have you called in your vin# to another dealer to check?

I think to know for sure, I'll just climb under and check at my own convenience. I'm not sure the DC computer system is going to change from one shop to another. Thanks for the replies though. Just goes to show that you can't always believe what is advertised.
Thanks
Patrick

There is a metal tag with one of the bolts that attach the cover to the diff. This tag will will be stamped with the gear ratio. It is located toward the botttom and is easy to read.

Thanks for the info. But these don't have that. That was the first thing I looked for.
