Any KJ's heading to Jeepfest 2007 in New Castle, PA? I just pre-registered

Saturday, August 25, 2007

Jeep show with trophies awarded in 11 categories.

Obstacle course with:
+ Mud pit
+ Rock crawl
+ Mini-trail ride
+ Challenge course
+ RTI ramp

Jeep history tent with displays & evening historical Jeep cruise to Butler, PA (Birthplace of the Jeep).

Kids activities including a bounce house, clown, face painting and prizes.

Huge raffle with Thousands of $$ in prizes from various vendors.

Vendors on display including 4x4 and food vendors.

Schedule of Events

9:30 AM - Registration Opens
10:00 AM - Obstacle Course & Mini Trailride Opens
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Jeep Photo Pose
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Disc Jockey (feel free to make requests)
12:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Kids Bounce House
4:30 PM - Obstacle Course Closes
4:30 PM - Jeep show ballot voting ends
5:00 PM - Jeep show awards distributed
5:15 PM - Final Prize raffle called
6:00 PM - Jeep Cruise to Butler PULLS OUT of Hess Ice Rink

Prize Raffle drawings at: 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 & 5:15

Just checked the ride time and it is 4 hours so I think it is a no go.

Me the wifey and super dog Otto should be there, depending on the weather. The first time we went we drove between two small tornadoes (yes the NOAA confirmed) on on either side of 80 about 5 miles out.

I do not want to do that again. The ride to the bantam factory is worth the 6 hour ride IMHO. There was a guy there that knew the entire history and gave a talk on the factory.

We were there the last 2 years, we don't mind the drive I-80 has beautiful scenery. Myself .. Jim and my dad Mike will be there.... staying at the Marriott in Butler :D
