Already did that last summer. Used the square steel tubing that simetimes used for small street signs. The kind that has a hole pre-drilled through it about every 1"-1.5". Bought some u-bolts and then modified those slightly by lining the u-bolds with some old rubber hose for extra grip.

Max Carnage, nice placement on the bike rack on either side. I was thinking about doing that. [/quote]

I used the flat stock and drilled my own holes. It allowed my rack to sit almost a full inch lower than using the square stock.

Maximum Carnage, that's with extension, right? Because if I were to get that, It would cover my sunroof.

Correct I have the extension on. If you look at page one of this thread you will see a comparison picture of the rack with and without the extension.

I got mine from Costco and all I had to pay was extra 5% because I'm not a member. No shipping charges either!

I contacted Thule and ordered it. Part# A-21021
I could not locate the extension in their web site.

EDIT: Added part#

Thule bought SportRack, not sure if Thule ever made the extension, I think they just gave it a different part number.

Coleman part number for the extension is 2224-711, I wasn't able to find one, everyone was out of stock.
SportRack part number for the extension is a21031, I found a couple but ended up buying from orsracksdirect.com for $79.20 (sale price)

(Thule Racks) SportRack sportrack-roof-basket-extension-a21031 1 79.20
Roof Basket Extension -
A21031 (Shipped)
