Ok, finally got to see it.

I don't think he was able to get the engine started. At least it's the only logical explanation as to why he din't try to drive away.

I wonder if he ever recovered it, and if he was able to get it started then.

Anyone see that Top Gear episode where the left the Toyota Hi Lux on the beach and it got sucked in by the waves? I can't believe they actually got it started after.
