Basically a repost. This is the extended version of the video posted about three or four weeks ago.

Saw it on KJ Country forums a couple of weeks ago. What a stupid way to wreck an engine.

Even I have learned not to splash my way through puddles but with my YJ. The last time I tried it my YJ swallowed some water and coughed for a couple of miles till I drained my air breather.

A good friend of mine wasn't so fortunate, he splashed though a small puddle with his TJ which had an engine with a cold air intake filter. The engine swallowed a whole lot of water, became hydro-locked and poked a piston rod out the bottom of the engine. He had to be towed home and is still in the process of replacing his engine.

slow and sure works everytime...

Something tells me that when you see water over the hood it is not a good time to floor it.

People never learn to walk a head, or see just how deep that hole is. There might have been something with 44s in there digging nice deep ruts in to the bottom of that hole
