Well after last weekends offroad trip in which my Borla muffler was flattened I needed to replace my exhuast after the rear cat.As so not to spend another chunk of change on a new cat-back system I opted to go cheap and short.I still had my cat coupler from my factory sytem so I simply clamped on a Thrush turbo muffler(18.5" longx9.5" widex4" tall) and then clamped on a turndown and called it good,it exits about 12" from the front of the rear axle.It has a nice deep sound as only a Thrush can produce and doesn't sound like a Honda with a coffee can muffler at all.The total cost was $28 with tax, only $20 for the muffler! Cheap and disposible! I will post pics when it ever will stop raining,so maybe tomorrow. Oh and it freed up alot of power, even when the Borla system was not a pancake!

**UPDATE**

Here are some pics, don't mind the chrome turndown(it's the only ony they had that would fit on the muffler),I was going to weld it but just in case I crush it again it will be easy to replace.

I always have liked Thrush mufflers for their sound and performance on muscle cars. You need to get the cigar smokin' woodpecker on your KJ somewhere now

Still trying to figure out where to put the sticker,it's blue so it kinda doesn't match my KJ.

What? I'm feeling a little woozy    ! No problems,I smoke and that hasn't killed me yet,not worried about a little CO2.Most of my vehicles I have ever owned just had headers on,and that's it,no muffler,no straight pipes, just headers and it never bothered my at all.

NASCAR is much better when you are at the race,I agree watching it TV is a little boring, when I watch the Daytona 500 I watch the first 5 laps then take a nap and watch the last 5 laps,I'll catch all the good wrecks on ESPN  .

It's got a nice drone inside the cabin, not to loud but noticeable. The fact that I don't have the tail pipe anymore will make it loader inside the cabin but I don't mind,I got two 10"s and a 750 watt amp  .

shame on all of you! how can you call yourself an off-roader and think drag racing and stock car (not so stock) are the best auto sports? 200 mph on an oval is lame - 300 mph in a strait line is only about how mush $$$ you can throw at a engine. NOW 90-120+mph on a single lane shelf gravel road covered in ice, snow and spectators with a 100 foot drop on one side, now thats racing! I would put my money on a World Rally Chapion driver against any NASCAR driver any day. all the cars are regulated to stringent specifications - TRUE driver against driver. too bad Speed vision droped WRC from their line up. at least it's on you-tube.

hahaha i agree with Orm rally is the best!.. nascar is good to put your to sleep.. so it has it's place. I think it would be much better without all the regualtions and restricter plates.. tjkj.. maybe you should be a rally driver taking your lifted KJ over 100! hahaha.. the speed rating on those tires cant be much faster than that!
