But I seem to remember reading on one of the threads that it is possible to get the coil/strut assembly into the front of the Libby without breaking the UBJ apart. Is that true, or is this the onset of Dementia? I am literally moments from starting the 2.5" install on my rig and I can't find that post anywhere...

Thanks guys!!!!!!

Can't see it possible not to seperate the UBJ/knuckle will putting a lift on,it's not hard at all.Loosen the UBJ nut(do not remove yet),tap on the side of the knuckle(where the UBJ stud goes through) with a 2-3lbs hammer till the UBJ breaks free, and then finish removing the nut(may need to hold the bottom of the stud with a 10mm wrench) and your done!Putting it all back toghether is even easier.

Took me 2 good hits with a 3 pound bfg to break the UBJ from the knuckle on my passenger side, and maybe 4 on the drivers side when I installed my Frankenlift....I was pretty amazed to say the least. It's very easy....

It all came apart better than I expected. Just the same apprehension you get before you tear into anything you've never done before. The REALLY good news is that it all went BACK together just fine as well. I only have one busted knuckle and 3 little cuts for all the work. Not bad for me.

Rusty's coil lift. I have some pics of the install, but it started getting late and the sun was going down. Had to be at work the next day, so I stopped taking pics and got the danged thing in. I wasn't able to put in the rear that night so I went to work looking like a lowrider Libby. Gonna go out and put in the rear right now. :D

I installed my Rusty's lift without popping the UBJ, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. It's not at all the easier route.
