Does anybody have a make/model number for the 4.10 ring and pinion for the D30A? My gear guy says the ones I got will not fit (off ebay-"guaranteed to fit" after clarifying it was a D30A and not the D30  ). Please dont tell me to look for a 4 cyl KJ front diff, because they are harder to find than a virgin on a porno set.
thanx

You can check your local dealer **probably a HUGE rip-off** or check out this OEM Mopar retail site: clicky

That's what you get for using Ebay, all they do is rip poeple off on Ebay.Check with Unixxx,he got some gears for the Dana30A from somewhere for a reasonable price.I just said screw it and got a whole new diff with the 4.10's already installed.

My dealer knows when he sees me coming its only to get an OBD code that my scanner does not pull, like ABS crap, or some obscure part I cant get anywhere else. $469-no thanks. I had that feeling in my gut that the guy I bought the ring and pinion from had no idea that there was a difference between the dana 30's so I asked and he was positive it would fit. Unixx's site only has 8.25 gears listed. I may just call Reider Racing and ask what Gris ordered since I know his real name.

Somebody (I think Moose) posted this link for a source of 4:10 gears, said they were lower price than DC and they get the D30a's directly from Dana Spicer. Make sure you ask specifically for the Liberty D30a and the longer pinion. Not the same as the D30. the gears you want are not listed on the website. You must call.

I don't have any experience with this company so don't take my word, but I did bookmark this cause I have plans.... :D

What would a junkyard charge for a D30A from a 4 cylinder KJ that has the 4.10s?

Dave, call Reider Racing. They can get the Dana mfged gears that Chrysler uses except hellofalot cheaper. That is what I used for my regear.

http://reiderracing.com/

Calling them is the best bet.

Glad to hear it. Hopefully they didn't confuse themselves and sent the right ones. I think you'll be fine. I spent more time arguing with them that the gears they though were the right ones, WEREN'T, before I finally listened to them and accepted the fact that Dana gears marked for a KJ might actually work. It took him saying it's the exact samepart # Dana sends to the dealer for the Dealer part# I supplied.

They got here, they worked. wee!

Price can't be beat either.
