I want to know why he even cares what some 18 year old high school kid thinks

my XJ and TJ (among other 4x4s) driving buddies give me a little crap here and there...but...if you're actually insulted, you might want to look at your own insecurities;)

Had a guy tell me the other day that his wife thought KJs were cute until she saw mine and she told him that I had "uncuteified" mine, it was now a real Jeep!  Think it was a compliment from a Rubicon owners wife with 35s etc etc etc on his.
But I never did listen to what others say half are just jealous anyways! Last time I had the "49" at a car show some guy was telling me what I needed to do with it and if he owned it he would do this and that, after the show saw him driving away in a rust bucket S-10 with no muffler

It's the whole cute 'yute thing. Thats fine. I like sleepers and always have. Mine pulls a feed wagon fully loaded easier than my Dad's F150. My neighbors and my Dad don't say anything anymore. Most cannot believe that litte Jeep can do so much with so little and no mods.

I used to hear that before i put a lift on it. Two douche bags at work used to call it a girl car. This is coming from one who drives an escort wagon and another that drives a mercury mountainere.

Some folks just don't get it. Which makes it even sweeter when they eventually do.

Related kinda- I was driving a 67 Rally Sport Camaro with the top down. It's totally original so it could use some fresh paint. This teenager on a corner yells "Dump that POS". Dude, you're on a bicycle dogging a Camaro? WTH?

Besides, I'd take my girl Jeep that I actually use as a Jeep over those mall Wranglers any day.

You know I get asked about everyday why mod a Liberty(since it is a girl vehicle  ),I just respond with a simple " Why not?".I get more comments and more atention from my KJ from (very cute) women that I don't mind driving a "girlie" Jeep, most women couldn't care less about a "manly" TJ or YJ,but are more apt to get drawn to the "cute" vehicles.Hey I'm single, gotta look at from both sides  .

I've owned a lot of 4x4's including a CJ-7 and a Scout II. I have to tell you though, the comfort level of the KJ has got me spoiled.

Call it what ever you want. She goes where I want to go and gives me a pleasant ride while doing so.

My CJ-7 and the Scout II (both soft tops) may have been a bit more "Macho" but one major drawback was that I felt limited to the local area when it came to getting to good trails. So many good trails I want to run require a couple hours, or more, of highway driving just to get to them. I'd much rather do that in my KJ.

I had a friend who was not particularly keen on my KJ, until I pulled his boat one day "this thing pulls better than my new 1/2 ton silverado  " I told him it gets better fuel mileage too

If you are gonna worry about what more than a handful of close friends and family think about you, you are gonna be a busy guy....

Times like this when i wish i had taken a pic of my wife's 02 kj with her 8 point buck on the roof and her in camo.

Personally i think she looked HOT driving a Jeep.

Where are we in france where everything has a gender. Sounds like Jeep Envy to me.

Sheesh-this topic, and any JP jabs always gets the girls panties in a bunch. You sound like a bunch of women.

funny how this is still such a hot topic
Today I had a chance to talk with the proud owner of a brand new JK 4 door
He was saying how he wanted a 4 door jeep and the KJ was to girly
I asked him if my wifes lifted 4X4 KJ was more girly than his 2wd JK
He said that 4wd or not his wrangler could "go any place my girl jeep can"
I offered to take him out wheelin by the house he said he "had nothing to prove" that is why he got 2wd
I said then why worry about going where my girl jeep can go?
he had nothing to say
I then offered him to ride shot gun in either my manly TJ or the girly KJ to see what 4wd was all about
he declined again
must be scared of the girlyness rubbing off on him

2wd? He must not know anything about anything..

Who buys a 2wd wrangler anyway? If I got a wrangler it would be for offroad. Not sitting around being all 2wd and such.

A 2wd JK would definitely be Soccer mom/Mall Rated.

If the guy says he has nothing to prove, why did he need a so-called "Manly" looking Jeep? He got a 2wd which is more girly than a 4x4 KJ!
