Cut off the factory trash can and put on a new, much smaller, trash can. Went to a local exhaust shop and worked with the exhaust guy to make the driver side tail pipe (mimics the borla driver side pipe). Reused the factory passenger side tail pipe with some modification. When all was done and leak tested... I used black header wrap to wrap the driver side tail pipe (so you can't see it and to protect anything close by from heat). The exhaust exits are the same as factory, hidden behind the bumper....but that may change if I change bumpers or decide to go with tips....but anyways heres some pics...

Why did you wrap the pipes? do they get too hot?

I'll try to get a video sometime today so you can hear it....its pretty agressive.......I wrapped it for 2 reasons.....1. it's stands out when looking at it from the rear especially being lifted. Making it all black with the rest of the undercariage blends it in and doesn't draw attention to something you dont want to know is even there.
2. I dont think the heat will bother anything, we spent ALOT of time keeping this pipe away from EVERYTHING, but I already had the header wrap laying around and there isn't really any need to heat up anything back there any further. Just an over engineering effort to keep things at least as cool as they were before there was a pipe back there......

seemed to gain highway MPG and cooled of the engine compartment considerably... other than that its just something else to p*ss of the neighbors with......

And really, isn't that what it's all about, anyway?

yeah, its louder than the bigger "suv series" muffs but its nothing like strait pipes....ALL new vehicles have so many catalyst devises on them that its almost like having another muffler......I could probably take that cherry bomb off and it wouldn't get louder it would just change tone....so far it doesn't get to loud inside the lib until you stand on it, and then everyone heres it...at a cruise it's fine, but definatley changes tone at differnt RPM's, seems loudest while cruising at around 1800 rpm....I think I might try a couple of different mufflers to see if I get one that seems to be better than another....I have tryed alot of mufflers over the last few years on my other vehicles, but flowmaster has a new version of ther super 40 out called the super 44 that is suposed to there deepest sounding muffler....maybe the little 3.7 could use that instead....we'll see soon....

I use a combo lift.....spacers plus spring lift....OME 1 1/2"springs on 3" spacers....shouldn't do it I know, but it's only 2wd so there are no front end parts to hurt, plus it alligned strait.....has AL's ARMS and moog lowers....tires are 265/75/16.....does pretty well.......it's loads of fun in the mud....that little 3.7 will sling mudd off of 2 tires much further than off of 4 tires.....

All of the "turbo" mufflers I have had in the past were awsome for vehicles that I wanted a slight bit of sound out of but didn't want to sound extremely loud when you opened it up...Turbos are good for not getting very raspy or real loud @ high rpms....keep in mind, I havent heard such a muffler on a 3.7 jeep or dodge truck so I really cannot say how it would sound on this motor....but My opinion is that I think it would be a good stock replacement and give good soud without getting to loud for the kids to ride.....would be even better if you split the rear exits

I have to say that that exhaust sounds excellent. Good pick.

Well I went ahead and installed a CherryBomb Trubo muff. It's really very mellow. 06Lib, you were right about the sound, I would've liked it a little louder, but it gives me a good sound without drawing attention and it only cost $60 for everything. I'll have my own post on it coming soon...
