Heads up! If any of you are planning on going up to Moab next year for the LOST Safari and staying at OK RV Park, call for reservations soon. I received a call from the lady that runs the place and she's saying it's already filling up!

what dates is she talking about? Its strange that nobody I know from our group has been called when we usually contact them for this event and in the past they didn't take reservations until after the 1st of the year. :?

JJ,

I thought it was weird too that she called me. She said that 'our group' needs to make reservations fast. I assumed she meant LOST as a whole...

However, if you remember AZLOST reserved a spot and I won it at the raffle we had at FITS in January. Maybe she's thinking it's AZLOST's reservations?

In any case why doesn't someone in charge of this event just pick the dates?

Good question. I suggested April 19-26, 2008 somewhere else and got no response.

I suppose picking dates this early will help those needing to put in for vacation time.

So someone with admin privs add LJS08 to the the Trails section and publish the dates? Isn't it that easy?

Wow, that's a month earlier than normal for us. Expect cold weather.

How did those dates get picked?

Average temps are between 64 and 73 - whereas april is 73-84.

For me, it'll still be way nicer there than in Chicago where temps may still be dipping.

But more effects from the Albuquerque lows that roll through that time of year ie rain and snow.

You just never know w/ Moab. EJS last year was beautiful and we got our share of varying weather. I could care less, as long as I am in Moab and not here in the desert I will be happy and enjoy it.
