I won't be able to go, but if you guys are doing Cascade Creek, then I would say find a place near/in Golden. I stayed at the CourtYard by Marriott a few months ago, and it was pretty nice, and the breakfast buffet was really good. It's real close to I70 on the west end of town, so real quick and easy to get on the road to Idaho Springs.

Edit: Dawson knows where the CourtYard is and Ted should have an idea how to find it too since they had to come to my rescue when my jeep broke down before we could run the trail.

Yeah, anywhere over there by Golden is, well, golden. We pretty much head out I-70 west to get to ANY trail.

PostPosted: Fri Sep 07, 2007 8:25 am
Darryl and I have been talking about this trip via IM this morning and have come up with the following suggestions...

We will meet at the Courtyard Marriott at 8am (I will confirm time with JL via phone, unless he sees this and replies). I will have my laptop and maps so we can research and decide on a trail at that time. This evening and tomorrow I will narrow down the trail options based on distance from the hotel (want to keep it relatively close), and difficulty. We'll be looking for something in the 3-4 range. There's nothing to say we can't do a few trails too!

This is all going down SUNDAY.

Stay tuned to this thread for any updates as I talk to JL. Also, feel free to post any suggestions for all of us to consider.

Run Game???

Does that mean you will give me a premium JL 10" in a custom enclosure if I come???

Seriously, looks good for me to go, unless I fall asleep on the way up there in the morning.
