I've been running with the MAF disconnected for the last three weeks and decided this morning to check the codes. I get the expected P0102 but also get P1265 - "Cylinder #5 High To Low Side Short"

This doesn't make sense on a 4 cyl so I searched the forum and found this thread relating to P1265 http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... ight=p1265

The thread is suggesting possible glow plug failure if the EGR is stuck open but this is contrary to the purpose of disconnecting the MAF.

Has anyone else had glow plug issues after disconnecting the MAF sensor?

Not heard anything. Actually haven't heard many problems with glow plugs onm '06 but a lot of them on '05's. Which is yours?

It's an '06 manufactured in Feb. I cleared the codes with it running so I'll see when I restart this eveneing it if this code comes back.
