So the other night after getting some coffee from the local coffee shop after getting an oil change that day my car decides it doesn't want to start. I jump it off and it turns over but will not stay running unless I give it tons of gas. As soon as you release the gas it would die. I got it to the service department yesterday morning. They call me this morning and tell me the battery had effectively fried my electrical system, making different sensors throw codes and confusing the computer. I'm supposed to get it back tonight, does that sound like something that could have happened? Do you think it would be caused by playing in the mud? Anything that might prevent this from happening again?

If the battery were to get too low, the computer can go schizo.

sounds about right, when my old battery was about to go it caused the oil pressure light to come on at random, after replacing the bad battery no more light.
