Both of my brake lights burnt out and I went to change the bulbs. I had to twist a socket on the back of the tail light that the bulb is connected to. Both bulbs broke when doing this. After I removed the broken glass I found out why they burnt out and broke. Loose plastic in the top of both tail lights were laying on the bulbs and melted into the bulbs. When twisting the bulbs to remove them the melted plastic held the bulbs until they broke.
I took the Jeep to the dealer today and they order 2 new tail lights. They seen this problem before and the parts is updated so loose parts inside wont happen again.
