Last oil cahnge i tried to put on the fumoto with the adapter and as I started to screw it on it seemed to go in there REALLY tight, too tight I thought so I backed it out and put the old plug in. Should I have forced it on there or what? Is this normal? Thanks

It should tread in easy and tighten up to the factory washer. If it is going in tight I'd check to make sure it isn't cross threaded. You may also want to check the factory plug and see if a previous oil change didn't get the pan crossthreaded. Be careful and go slow as you don't want to bugger up the factory pan. One advantage of the fumoto is you don't need to be threading out/in the plug. Do you have the allen wrench plug or the external hex head plug?

Be careful and good luck!

I have the allen wrench plug. I am doing another oil change today. What if the thing is crossthreded. Should I just forget about the fumoto and keep the stock one in there?

I've read here that if the copper crush washer is left off the factory plug will bugger up the first thread or two on the hole because of it's rounded end near the head of it.
