oy, I didnt realize you guys would have so much trouble with the dmg file, hence I went ahead and made an ISO of it, the iso is uploading now, it will be a few hours before it is completely uploaded, (400mb file at 30k/s upload = 4.7 hrs).

when you see that the iso file reads 402.7mb then youll know its done uploadin.

Sam
Is this the one that has the part numbers cowcatcher speaks of?

Thanks
Joe

Joe,
Both the the DMG and the ISO contains the EXACT same files as the FSM directory. I cannot, for the life of me, find the document cowcatcher refers too, maybe he has something we dont?

EDIT: ISO done uploading.

Well 200 plus miles and 17 head of cattle later.........

The book I have is PDF has 579 pages and is about 9,915KB in size. There is a directory similar to the FSM and the first page has a VIN number decoder. I downloaded it thinking it was the manual but never looked at it that close.

Each page has an exploded view of a particular part of the truck with circled numbers pointing to each part. To the right on each page is a list of those circled numbers and the corresponding part number and name.

I see no files in the original CD of that size. What is the name of this PDF file you are opening?

Im really feeling like you have something that you got from another source than me, because I just cant find it.

Well, silly me I renamed it so that won't help but for some reason it is dated 8/26 or 8/29 and I know that you didn't post it until well after then. I did download it from you and I just assumed that I had made an error and got a limited download.

I am not sure if I have your email but it I do I will post it back to you and you can re-post. It is very nice to have!!! Thanks!

I didn't send you one Sam. I don't have your email. It doesn't look scanned and really I down load virtually nothing. If it had been scanned the links wouldn't work and they do.

yes it did, once cowcatcher said he wasnt the one I released it was you(durh) that sent it, its already online at the same place that the FSM is, though it appears to even be a different item than what cowcatcher has.

Excellent! Thanks for the extra effort from those of us who don't have an extra $200 to give Steve Jobs, we prefer to give our money to Bill Gates (in theory)! or LocoCRD..... :D

ISOBUSTER is ~30bucks and WINIMG is ~freebucks - does the trick, no fuss, no muss, and I'm pc-illiterate - really strange to see "Apple partition" files on my pc, fer sure.

BTW - when selecting files for download, bigger is better don't work, here - you must select the 32-bit or the 64-bit version according to your system's configuration - XP Home is 32-bit - iirc XP Pro is selectable - Vista is ?, but not 32-bit

Thanks for the extra effort, folks

I don't see any indication on their web site that says it would handle the DMG file. A search in their forum does not come up with anything either.

I downloaded the program and installed it. I don't see an option for DMG files (I'm running Vista 64 bit though?).

Looks like a nice program anyway, and a keeper!

Just open the file dialog, it'll let you select a DMG(and its listed in its dropdown box). I don't have it installed at work or I'd give a tutorial. All it does is burn it to a CD for you, it dosen't mount it locally(Daemon Tools will likely do that however).

Of course its irrelevant now that Sir Sam has uploaded an ISO. ;)

Must be a Vista/64 bit thing, cause DMG is not an option when I look in the dropdown box, nor is it an option when the box says "all compatible files" (or something like that).

SirSam took care of me though!

Man, if I ever need to mess with a PC user I guess ill send em a DMG file not an ISO. I picked the DMG because it made a smaller file, I just cannot believe you guys had so much trouble with it!

Wow, Sam - have you noticed your views-count? Too bad we couldn't separate that out to specifics, such as CRD owners, the rest of 'em, etc
