Hi,

Anyone know off the top of their head whether the front diff is easily accessible for a lube change without having to remove anything on an 06 CRD. There are no optional skid plates on this vehicle.

There is a Sticky here:

with no front skid it requires very little contortion to remove the fill plug.

The drain is on the bottom of the housing. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Looks like about an hours work to do them both. I was planning to use a standard 80W90 in the front and synthetic 75W140 in the rear as specified in the manual.
