before any pictures are inserted, i would like to give an explanation of what the heck the plan is. the idea for this theme was created by myself because i dont want to jack it up to the sky, or put lots of lights on it just yet. i want it to look as fun as it is for me to drive every day. being the mild surfer that i am, i wanted to convey that on the car as best as i could, hence the wave edition. this will be the center of the theme, as a cyan blue vinyl wave will be put on both the driver and passenger sides of the liberty starting from the bottom of the rear door towards the front door all the way to the top of the rear taillights, going underneath the rear door handles in a rounded mild wavy form. this blue theme will carry to the interior with various painted panels and trim pieces. since cyan blue is, to me, a very subtle color, i needed something that popped with it. yellow came to mind as these are my two favorite colors, but it wasnt wild enough. so, bring on the magenta/hot pink! since this is an accent color, dont worry, there will be no huge vinyl of hot pink anywhere, but instead all of the badging will be replaced with magenta/hot pink lettering by way of decalfx.com and jazz it up auto here in Colorado. other than exterior modifications, interior lighting will also be upgraded and reflect these colors, but since the interior is still in the works i cannot say what will be lit and what wont be. there is a plaque that i had made specifically for this jeep that will be placed in the interior once it starts to come together after the 26th of November. all of this will hopefully give my jeep a more "playful" stance when later it gets lifted and bigger tires and lights everywhere. since im not a serious person, i can have the jeep looking too serious about life, lol.
as far as durability, it will be in the shop from the 5th of november to the 26th so that the tech guys can make sure it fully bonds and adheres to the body of the vehicle, so that a tree dosent snag the vinyls off. normally it wouldnt have to be replaced for every 2-3 years, but because mine will be exposed to off roading, it will have to be closely monitored and possibly be replaced every year however that is worst case scenario.
i invite you all to stay tuned as i think this will be one of those very different transformations...
