Old Man Emu lift?

Who's running the old man emu lift? Does the 1.5 f, 1.75 r lift allow you to run 245/75r16's? Since the lift is an inch shorter then the Frankenlift would it be a little easier on the ball joints? What's the word on this lift?

There are a lot of different discussions on here about the OMEs. You will get more than 1.5 inches and with a clevis lift way over two inches. You can get them in Light which is just a step above stock, Mediums which are rated at 375 lbs, and Heavy Duty which are rated at 400 lbs. Depends on what you are going to do with your Liberty which spring rates you choose. If planning to add a bumper later then Heavy Dutys, if you pull a trailer a lot then you may want the mediums or heavy dutys etc.
They are great springs take a look in the picture section as well as there are a lot of pictures of OME lifted Libertys.

i run ome hd on the front and it gave me the same amount of lift as the rustys springs did when i bought the rustys 2.5" coil lift originally.

We run the OME med springs at all 4 corners with Rancho struts on the front ,OME shocks out back
IMO great set up ,the KJ is the wifes DD so quality was a HUGE factor
We fit 245/75 MTR's on the OE wheels with only minor moving of the lower punk lamp door
and pounding of the pinch weld ,both of wich will almost be needed with the Franky ,from what I read
we neted 2" and some change after nearly 10k and some good off roading
I did not bump stop space the rear and I get some rub at VERY full stuff ,1 tire in the air the other stuffed
we also get very very minor rub at full lock on some plastic but the MTR's are stronger than the plastic

This was on an '03 limited with some BAD spring sag and funky struts at ~38k
thus the reason for the new springs and struts ,the OE stuff is JUNK
this is also the reason why I dont like spacer lifts with OE stuff

I do not think that goin with AT tires will make a diff. in the rub
also on a side note I get 19+ MPG going 70mph on the speedo on the highway
so dont worry about MPG and bigger tires because you dont save much ,I lost just over 2 highway MPG and about 3 city

Definitely do it. The OME lift on my KJ is impressing me more every time I drive it. It is really good off road but what I find more amazing is how great it is on road. Just an excellent lift, I'm one of the converted for sure.

Ive got OME 927 springs front & OME 948 rear springs (heavy duty), with OME Nitro Charger Shocks front & back. I've had to add a 10mm TJ packer to the left rear due to sag in the spring. If I was to do my lift again I'd probably change the shocks to long travel shocks (pro comp/ rancho or OME) & Kings springs (not OME). That's if I was to go a 2" lift again, but as there is a 4" on the market & by the time mine is ready to change I will look at that first. I've heard good & bad things about Skyjacker so time will tell.

OME mediums all around with OME struts and shocks. I'm running 245-70s which may be a touch small but it's not a bad look by any means. Raked slightly @ss-high but no more so than stock. As for the ride, it's much stiffer than my stockers were after 30k (bounce-a-bounce-a-bounce) especially up front. Gotta echo the consensus, good gear worth the price.
