I am going to guess that it was hard enough to just put it together given the emotions that were running. Trying to pick out an appropriate song would be tough.

After the grieving is over I bet we can come up w/ an appropriate song for Matt and then we can celebrate his life.

I would bet that Matt wouldn't want us to dwell too long on his passing and he would want us to learn from him and enjoy every aspect of the lives we all still have.
