OK I know the in and outs of a full time auto locker ,I have on in the TJ
what I need to know is the one for a 8.25 in a XJ the same as the one for
the 8.25 in a KJ

Something in the back of my head tells me no but just in case
I may be able to get one cheep to very cheep
it is used well very used and wheeled quite hard but I figure if the price is right I can get it and a rebuild kit for
1/2 the cost of a new unit

let me know what you know

yeah but that would be to easy I was hoping that some one here would just know off the top of there head
the guy selling it works for a shop that sells power trax's he could find out tomarow
he is going from stock t-case and axles to Atlas and 60's
I want to scoup up the locker(s) from his stock axles and put them in the KJ
but I want to fly under the radar and keep the wife out of the loope
I want to have them here and the day she gets a new ride I will throw the power trax in the rear
then work it out so I get the ARB in the front soon after

As long as it's for a 29-spline 8.25 and for your correct carrier(open or trac-loc) it will work.

They have a different model for the no slip carrier, I'm betting it's shaped differently so the locker is shaped differently.

no such thing as a "no slip carrier"
the trac loc carrier is different than the open carrier

I thik he is talking about the locker its self

and a Lock rite made by eaton ,I think

The no slip is smother but works the same
The no slip is close to 1/2 the cost and way more harsh

Also different carriers depending on if you have an open rear end or Trac-Lok (Trash-Lok)...so you have to order the one for your carrier

Duh, sorry, I was thinking the factory LSD carrier when I said that, I completely forgot the No-Slip is the synch'd auto locker from Powertrax. :oops:

Yeah, the only thing to check (other than spline count) is if you have the LSD stock or just the open carrier, THOSE take different versions of the Powertrax locker. I'm going to bed now before I get in any more trouble!

I know he was open when it was new
I would bet money that it is 29 spline ,it holds 36" Iroks

Power-trax by Richmond Gear has 2 similar units. The No-Slip and the Lock-right. There website is a little confusing and at times.

The No-slip is a more refined version of the older Lock-right. It has some syncros and a few other changes. I've experienced both and there is a night and day difference between the two. I had the aussie locker (almost identical to the lock-right, despise what aussielocker says.. take the two side by and and compare they are identical) in another vehicle and it was a nightmare on the road. The no-slip was a pleasant surprise. If you are considering a spider-gear replacement locker (lunchbox style) there are only are few out there and as far as I know the no-slip is the only one that has syncros. It has by far the best road manners of all the other spider gear replacement lockers.

For the KJ there are two of each unit. One for the open carrier and another for the track-loc (factory LSD) carrier.
