What are some of the members replacing their front axle assemblies with? Is there a particular vendor or manufacturer you can recommend?
Thanks.

Check Ebay. One vendor is selling them for $90 each ($15 shipping) and you can save on shipping if you buy them both. I just got one but haven't put it in yet. It has a 2-year 20K mile warranty.

IMO
Just get the OE remanufactured ones they sell at any auto parts store but get it with the life time warranty
then do what you will to them
to much lift causes the CV's to bind and weare out to fast? so what swap them out yearly if you want
The guy at the parts counter only wants to know that you got it from them and you are in their computer
best part if it is a chain place carry the recipt in the glove box
Out wheelin 500 miles from home
snap a CV ,no biggie
run to town get a new shaft and replace
if you are there with some good freinds send them to get the new shaft while you pull the old shaft
if they dont have the shaft so what you pulled the shaft and can now drive home
