I'm looking to get an iPod hooked into my stock deck. I've seen a couple iPod intergration kits but I'm unsure if it's what I want since it mentions controlling the iPod from the stock deck. I'm looking to basically buy an AUX port kit so I can hook in the iPod through the headphone jack and have it be hard-wired in but still control the Ipod through itself; not the deck. I'm not sure if the stock deck has a provision in the back for an AUX port.

Did that come out right? Does anyone have any suggestions or links to where I can buy such a kit?

Thanx.

I don't believe the stock radio has an Aux in.

I just picked up a kit second hand that plugs inline with the stock antenna. When powered on, it cuts the signal from the Jeep's antenna and transmits straight into the radio from the antenna input.

I think new it was $30 or $40. A lot cheaper than the Ipod integration kits and allows the Ipod to be controlling modual.

Fair enough. Now, is there any way for me to keep the stock deck and have an iPod hard-wired to it? In any form but it must be hard wired via RCA's, etc. Not FM modulated.

I'm looking to avoid having an aftermarket deck.

EDIT: I found this on jparts.com. Anyone have first hand experience with it an the RBK radio?

I got the PIE ipod integration adaptor that plugs in to the headunit port from the data port on the bottom of the ipod. They also make one using RCA/3.5mm stereo jack.

Which one did you get? Does the stock radio have RCA's in the rear?

Thanx for the link. I found exactly what I'm looking for; the POD2 kit allows the iPod to be controlled through the stock CD player or the Ipod itself. Yeah!! my first KJ mod. Mopar skids coming next 8)
