 just curious cause i know the OME springs are shorter then my Rusty's springs.

dont worry, you jeep doesnt look funny.

Spring rate not actual length makes the real difference, compare Rustys at 310 lb and OME HD at 400, (mediums at 375,) not sure of actual measurements of Rustys but OME mediums are 15.43 and HDs are 15.51 inches I think. Anyone know Rustys length?

I know HIJACKING THE THREAD

I have gone the route of OME HD springs and shocks all the way around. (Bull Bar and future winch). except i parted the list out between OK4wd.com, 4x4 connection, Jeepin By Al, and a Crysler dealership who has EXCELENT prices on OEM stuff.

I have also purchased a pair of new strut mounts, and front isolators. so I can build my struts and then just swap out the strut assemblies and rears all in one step. I do not have a spring compressor so I am dependent on a local shop to compress and assemble the strut assemblies. I plan to keep the stock ones, for a while anyway as they have less than 9,000 miles on them, and use them on the misses 02 kj when it needs new shocks.

OME 927 front coil springs $67.79 each $135.58
OME 948 rear coil springs $67.79 each $135.58
OME NS131 struts $125.95 each $251.90
OME N132 Rear shocks $74.79 each $149.58

4 Front Spring Isolators $14.76 each $59.04
2 Strut Mounts $78.72 each $157.44

Total without shipping $889.12

Now add the beer and pizza......... Priceless!!!

Subtract $110.70 for stock front shock re-use on the wife's 02
$120.50 for rear shock re-use on the wife's 02

grand total of $657.92 for the OME lift on the 2007not including shipping and front end alignment

Not too bad

Hey Clark,

I just upgraded a couple of weeks ago. You can see all the parts in my sig. My wife drove it home from the shop and she definitely had a smile on her face. She said the ride was a whole lot smoother and quieter, and I can't agree more. Since it's my daily driver, I stuck with the Destination A/T's and so far they have been great. I purchased everything thru All J's in California. Probably could have saved a few bucks here or there, but they spent alot of time with me on the phone and were quite patient with my questions.

Here is the link to my thread. Has some pics with the before and after:

The Destination AT's are excellent tires. I had them in a 245/65R17 on '05 KJ 17X7.5 5" BS rims. Almost as smooth as a ride as my Cross Terrains were before. Very good traction too. They were about $50 less per tire than the Silent Armors too. I just wanted something a little more aggressive, severe snow rated, and approved to go on an 8" wide rim. The Silent Armor 245/75R16's were the only thing I could find that fit the bill for me.

I know with the FLIIP, I had to trim just a little plastic up front, but didn't have to touch the pinch welds. How much trimming and pounding to get 245/75R16's on with the OME without the extra Franky parts?

On mine with the setup I have I installed a set of Moabs and 245-75X16 MTRs, they had about 12/32 of tread not new but close but I would not of had to touch the pinch weld at all but I did just in case , plus I had to do sean150s so was practicing! With his 16X8 black steelies and 245-75X16s with Rustys lift he was rubbing bad.

With the A/T's, no trimming at all. Only very minor rubbing on the fog light plastic liner when at full turn. Not enough for me to be concerned.

Thanks everyone for the input and thoughts. I think come Monday (Nov. 19) I'll start making some telephone calls and ordering parts and then plan on doing the transformation two weeks from now (Nov.30, Dec. 1 & 2). I'll do some before and after pictures, something I'm sure you haven't already seen but...
Your help is much appreciated.

Clark
