did no one see swampthings lift? he combined a rusty's spacer lift and coil lift if i remember correctly. i'm sure he had to fabricate some things. but thats a given.
duh....yes everyone saw it, but would we want to wheel it ..no, too many weak points. MANY years ago a group started to get together to talk about KJs and lifts, after using many springs/shocks etc they came to the conclusion that 2.5/3 inches was the max you could lift the KJ without getting into major problems. So ones like swampthing did do it but f you read he did not drive it that much. Going on to jeepinals lift look at what you have to do in order to go that high, not just use some CHEAP A** spacer kit with springs. If you want over 3 inches dont be stupid just go SFA, if you want a trailer queen then by all means go for it. listen to several years of experience on here, and quite saying well sos and so its all been discussed SEVERAL times before spend some time and go back and reread the posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude chill out.

I never said it was the best or a bullet proof design. I was just stating that swampthing did it, period. Would i do it? No, asking for problems. OME springs and a daystar yeah i'd try it if i had extra cash to play with but i dont. It's basically a frankenlift. I agree anything over 3" get al's lift or go straight axle if you got the cash.

I only got 1.5in of lift with the OME med duty springs and 3" with the Rustys lift.
Jeepster, Are your rusty's springs still holding at 3"?

Mine sagged to hell. I was gonna get some ome med but if you only got 1.5" out of them im going to hold off. HD's maybe to stiff for me. I dont plan on getting a front bumper anytime soon unless i come across a used one dirt cheap. ah decisions decisions.
