I don't think Daystar is the ONLY lift for the CRD. Let me ask you...does anyone here with a V6 KJ carry a passenger in their KJ? If you carry a passenger, then your KJ weighs exactly the same as my CRD with just the driver. So if the coil lifts won't work on a CRD because of the "added weight", then I guess they also won't work on a V6 KJ unless you always travel alone. Because there's only 200 lbs. difference between a 3.7L KJ and a CRD KJ.

My only point is, I went with Daystar because it's all I could afford. And a lot of people are in that boat. That's not whining. That's real life. Guys who drop $750+ for a lift kit and don't think anything of it obviously don't have to worry about real life. I wish I was there.

Anyway...still waiting on the lift. Guess it'll show up one day...

I keep saying this over and over - I've seen CRDs wheel with the Rusty's coil lift and the Rockfather 2. They work. Nobody want's to consider it for some reason. All you'll hear is "Daystar is the only thing that will work on your CRD." I give up. We have a lifted CRD in our local club. They called up the makers of the Rockfather 2 and had special springs cut for the front end. It only takes a phone call...

boy howdy, this seems to be a controversial subject. Lots of opinions. :) Pays to remember, though, the Liberty is a very capable vehicle right out of the box. It's why we bought 'em in the first place.

I went with the Rusty's full suspension lift and love it. The only thing I wish is that the front end was a little taller. My own fault since I haven't adjusted the clevis yet. This was before the Frankenlift was actually all put together. In hind sight I probably would have spent the extra on the Frankenlift if it had been available as a complete purchase at the time. When the Rusty's is worn out it will be upgraded to the Frankenlift.
