Doc well all that matters is you got your bumper to work out for ya,I wish I could explain it a little better or know how to photoshop so I could show you what to do on the gap maybe some one knows what I mean that knows how and can do it to show you

well photoshop might make the pic look good but I am curious to actually apply it and fill in the gap, at least close to what your bumper does....

now i understand that there is going to be the discount on the 05-07 bumper until feb. Now is the same thinng going to be offered for the 02-04 once you get it made up? I would assume that you wouldnt have it ready by febuary. Next question I have is about the winch again. Is it possible at all to fit a winch on the top of the bumer at all or is the only possible option the receiver mount? Do the shackels come with the bumper? An if so what is the wieght rating on them? I know ive got more questions that you probably have awnsers but i just want to make sure that if im going to be spending between 600 to 1000 dollars that i get everything i want. Oh and kudos on the prep and paint job. It looks like its fiberglass allthe way around except for the welds on the stinger. What did you do to get ann the angles so smooth and clean? Out of all the bumpers ve seen i do have to say this is the best eye pleasing one of them all and i cant wait to see the one for my model year.

I'm also curious about mounting a winch in one. I'd be willing to lose the stinger bar for it, if i had to. This is the first front kj bumper that I might consider... if I can get a winch mount on it. I don't wheel alone much so if I need winched from behind, there should be another rig there to do it and I don't have any storage space to spare for a hitch-winch.

If I were to buy a bumper, that'd be it (without the stinger)

Beautiful job.

But since you have the RockFather lift, that increases your approach angle. An unlifted KJ will measure less.

My SWAG for this bumper on an unlifted Libby- an approach angle somewhere in the 40° neighborhood. That would beat the heck out of the stock approach angle of 34.6°. Maybe I'll have to buy one to find out.

Does Sundance Customs have a website? A Google search led me to a shop in Virgina that does custom chrome on motorcycles and ATVs.

I don't think the stock springs would like the weight of a bumper like this. Maybe on a CRD but definitely not a gasser.

Crusader : I have just accuired the guinnea pig for the older body style so they will be available mid to late december at the same discount. The way the bumper is designed no a winch will not fit on the top If people really want a permanent mount winch bumper I can change the design some to accomodate it but i just had not planned for that.I like the idea of the reciever mount so you can just through it in when you plan to go wheeling.I had not really thought about including the shackles but what the hay I get a good deal on them. So I will if requested. They are three ton shackles.

Dje ryu:Read above,it would not interfere with the stinger as far as I can tell It is just only 4 inches from the taper to the grill.

Beep Beep JeepJeep:I will sell you one with out the stinger so you want one right?

Weegie 5: No I dont im just getting things started so the name might change in spelling just a bit.

Kj Sport: that is why I decided to stretch the discount out untill feb.

I need to replace my front springs and lift anyway, so if I end up with this bumper I'll probably get the CRD version of the Frankenlift (unless they tell me that the gas Frankenlift II will work just as well).

I will have the exact weight in a couple days and I will post it. I just guesstimated it I figured you guys would be happier to know that it weighs less than originally stated so I guessed high(I HOPE) LOL

well if at all possible dont change the design for a winch mount too much. the bumper looks good like it is. An with the delay for the early model lib bumper would you push the deal out to maby march first? Im all over this bumper like flies on $&it anyway. So make sure you have one permenant winch compatible by the end of jan when i get my grap cash. Oh one more thing. Are you going to offer any kind of gaurntee on it?

All I would do to change it is move the whole thing out about 2 inches or so. You guys would have to get a winch with th fairlead on the winch that looks good.If enough people ask I could probably do that or at least till like Feb15. Ya I guarantee it will fit kind of.
Ya Im sure I will do a workmanship guarantee specially when the price goes up huh.And im not 100% on the price after discount i will have to see how fast I can put them out by then.

Well I can tell that my TR bumper made my Frankie II premium drop a bit in the front. I have the 500#springs. so Im guessing im going to need some pucks in the front to level her back up. Im almost at the point where I might consider selling my TR to a 02-04 owner and buy one of these. any takers :P

Ok Doc give me the measurment from the fender down to the bumper by the grill. then move out to the round corner by where the turn signal was.and last on the side on the back edge by the inner fender well down to the bumper. if you can take pics while doing so then email them to me with your phone number so I can call and tell you what else I need while you are looking at the jeep and I am looking at the pics.and I think we can come up with a piec to fit in there, you will just have to get it welded in.Or maybe i can put tabs and you can bolt it we will see.

I've read every post in the thread; that e-mail address is where I got the crazy idea to search for "Sundance Customs". I was thinking that maybe he has a page for the bumper on his Yahoo account, or perhaps a separate Gmail account with a page on GooglePages. Maybe the e-mail addresses on their website get forwarded to that Yahoo account. (I've done that with some websites- having the e-mails for that URL forwarded to my Gmail account.) I'm thinking outside the box a little here.

My concern isn't about contacting them; it's easy enough to PM JHCRASH. Once their website is up and running, I find it much easier to go to a manufacturer's website to see pics/specs of a product than to sift through posts in a 6+ page thread looking for the info I need.

oh god no!!!! dont take the bumper out another couple of inches. Thats one of the big reasons that the other bumper are so bad. The things stick out so darn far. If anything bring it out maby an inch and just fab up some kind of mounting plate that will bolt down.

i have to say, the new pictures make things look a TON better. I love how close it follows the lines of fenders, etc. Not a huge fan of the stinger, but if it were more upright (ala the arb or TJM units, I might like it better. Out of curiosity, have you been able to mount your initial unit(s) on additional jeeps? I'm wondering if every unit would have to be tailored to the rig or if there's enough slop in the mounting hardware to allow for differences manufacturing tolerances of the jeep's uniframe (or even if it had been repaired from a crash, etc).
