I am thinking of purchasing a new set of wheels for my KJ. I bought 1 set and they wouldnt fit correctly ... they ht the brake rotor. So now I am gunshy.
The ones I am looking at now are ... 15 x 8 size 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern. I have a 2002 Liberty Sport. If anyone knows if these will fit I would greatly appreciate he info! I have little time left before they are sold (the seller is being patient with me) so if I can get an answer ASAP I will be indebted to you!!!

Thanx

Get 16" rims or make sure the 15's have 3.5" back space, that should make sure you clear the calipers.

You'd need steel 15" rims and since you have no lift a 15x8 rim with the BS(3.5"-4") needed will rub like crazy, stick to 16's and you'll be better off.

These ProComps, are they any good? does ProComp make a decent wheel? Says load rating is 2200 lbs, is that too little? The BS is 4.5 and Offset is 0.

I am concerned about the TPMs i have and the steel wheels. I understand they fixed the issue of them not working with steel wheels by my model year, but...

07 by the way, and looking to get rid of the 17"ers i have and expand my rubber choices in the 16"ers.

I like the all black, Soft 8's are cool but the TPM issue.....

When they were introduced in 05, i think, the original ones needed magnets to program them and they were also not able to work in steel rims. subsequent years they supposedly have addressed the issue with new ones that identify themselves to the wheel well mounted sensors and thus no magnet needed for programing. I have heard that this also addressed the steel rim issue. but the stealership is reluctant to advise.

Show me pics of your KJ please. Is that the one with the new bumper you made?

im guessing that the rims you had in 15" were aluminum. In that case their never going to fit. their to thick. You shoudnt have a prblem with steel 15" rims because there a lot thinner. An crager makes some really good steelies

I got ProComp wheels, they are similar to those only with silver rim. I love them. Just remember that those black wheels are mate and not shinny like cragars would be.

I know I love the matte finish but the price difference. I can get 2 or maybe 3 Soft 8's for the same price as a cast wheel. and if my tpms wor as i am hearing, then why not. a 50.00 bent rim is alot easier on the wallet than a 150.00 cracked alum. rim any day. you can drive on a bent one too. not fun but driveable.

I am just pissed that i didn't investigate the rims prior to buying my kj.

anyway some stock 17" rims will be for sale in the future.
