ok weve got front and read rubicon dana 44s we want to swap for front 30 and rear 44 out of roccky mountain edition tj. the thing is the ujoints are different sizes rubicon uses bigger in the driveshaft then the other jeep stock puts off. what do we need to do to get them mated up.... is it ok to run smaller ujoint in larger yoke? i can swap yokes on the two rear 44s and be good but what about the front?

There are u-joints that mate 2 different size yokes,weak though.I believe the Rubicons run a 1330 u-joint.

No,you'll need a new yoke for the 44 that will be compatable with the u-joints being used.

I think many people only do the rear 44 for that reason, and if they do both, they usually change out the transfer case to a rock-trac.

Rubicon D-44 axles come with a 1330 u-joint
stock D-30 and D35 have 1310 u-joints

You will need a conversion u-joint
spicer part # 5134X
