this bumper looks freakin awesome...I can't wait to see it for the 2003 sport model....hope someone steps up to be the test rig...especially for doing it that cheap. I would get one of these in a heartbeat for my 03 sport...especially being basically bolt on. Your forethought and design was very well planned and I commend that! Looks like factory on your initial pics...no gap left untouched with your design...very seamless and tight.

On my 05 Gasser the horns are low under the battery. But I think with some extra wire they could be moved about anywhere. As a matter of fact I plan on moving them. The last time I played in a lot of muddy water they plugged up and wouldn't work. They need to be higher.

I thought it was her CJ7 that made her cool

Any more pics of the bumper?

Did you read the entire thread? he is still waiting to fab one up for a 02-04. your lift will not affect whether the bumper will fit or not. it will fit regardless of what you do to your suspension.

You really do need to do some outdoor shots during the day with a better camera. Bumper clarity is not there.

Sad to say it but BLACK was not the best choice for your demonstrator bumper. I would have gone with a grey or any lighter color. That would have shown the welds, and all of the turns and designs you put into it. It looks VERY strong. BUT i am not sure everybody has the ability to lift their KJ from the ceiling.

IF you can re-paint it or on the next one color it lighter it will show the design and quality much better. Day light or shop light, Black is cool, but doen't photogrpah worth a crap. Even a MATTE black would be better, but do a grey one next and photogrph the crap out of it.

Also, purely from a photographic stand point I would loose the frame around the license plate. VERY distracting and takes away from what quality we can see in the pictures. Not to mention it MIGHT portray the wrong king of image to any potential buyer, But mostly it is VERY distracting. Against the black it reflects way too much light and drwas your eye to it instead of the bumper.

A test, take ANY photogrpah in a magazine, newspaper, bilboard... Don't look at it for a second then look at it and turn away very fast, (Not while driving) Concentrate on where you eye goes FIRST. 99% of the time you eye goes to the brightest spot in the imgae FIRST then begins to read the rest of it. This is a fact and nothing you can do about it, except having the brightest thing in your picture be the thing you want to showcase.

A lighter grey will show off the reciver location for the licenseplate bracket too and not need to have that on there for those in states that don't require it.

Sorry to be so long winded.
