I got the results back from my last oil analysis running with the ORM for the entire 7300 mile interval. If you look at the wear metals on a per mile basis, wear was cut IN HALF compared to previous intervals without it. Plus the oil didn't thicken out of grade due to soot loading.

Everything other than the ORM was the same from previous intervals, including oil type, filter type and driving habits. Serious break-in seemed like it was over by the end of the second interval, and wear actually increased the longer I ran the oil. It was a dramatic drop with the ORM.

Theres a typo at the top of the left column, it should say 7300 not 26500. For the next interval I'm using a larger-than-stock Mobil 1 filter. Probably go out to 10,000mi. Definitely not plugging the MAF back in though. Installing the SEGR soon. I'm not saying the ORM will make your engine last twice as long, but it will definitely help.

So which oil do you use?

I'm trying to compare your numbers with my Esso Ultron 5w-40. Seems in some parameters they are comparable.

Here's some data on it http://www4.esso.com/UK-English/Lubes/P ... _5W-40.asp

Another way that EGR is "bad" - I recently had to reconnect the MAF for some troubleshooting, then back to the basic ORM, while commuting to work this past week. I have one of the functions on the Scangauge II set to GPH fuel flow.

On the same route every day, saw a significant decrease in fuel flow with the ORM, in some conditions better than 0.5 GPH lower.

I was using Rotella T 5W-40 synthetic.
