OK, I will have the whole family with me this time, so I will not have an empty seat, but I am sure others will.

Saturday, o715 at the diamond shamrock on baptist and 25 for the co springs gang:
Me
Pete
Rocklizard

If others down here, please let me know so we do not leave w/o you. plan to leave around 0730.

Then we will meet in Conifer at the Safeway (there's also a Starbucks there) @9:00am. Here's a map of where we're going: http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?addr= ... name=&qty=

I have directions but if you want to print your own that is fine too...

Also if any of you are off on friday afternoon, I could use help with installing my skid plate and a ball joint boot (I messed up my wrist pretty good, you all will see, and I am sure will laugh). Got to do it Friday afternoon due to the football game.

USAFCOP,

Is that a map of the meeting place in conifer or of the area we're headed for the day? Sorry, not real familiar with much of anything south of Denver.

Nick

That's the Safeway/Starbucks in Conifer where we're meeting. The trails are a short drive from there.

Guys, I just got a call from a relative that decided to make a surprise visit this weekend. Totally stoked to see him, but I'm afraid I won't be able to meet up with you for the run. Since I was just going to snake a seat in someone's rig, I suppose it's not too big of a deal, but I was looking forward to it.

I am still interested in taking him out for a run on Sunday, but due to his time schedule, I'll have to keep it closer. Can someone recommend a few runs in/near Larimer County that my mostly stock KJ could handle? I've got a front susp. plate and fuel plate, and AT tires. No lift and no engine/tranny/tc/rocker protection. I know I can look on 4x4trails.net, but was hoping for some recomendations from you guys since you know the KJ's so well.

Sorry about having to bail. By the time you guys do your next run, I should have more armor and possible a lift (can't wait for x-mas).

Feel free to pm me or email me at kjdriver@gmail.com with recomendations if you all have a free minute.

Nick

I asked my Dad two weeks ago what was going on this Sunday. He said nothing. But just this Friday, he tells me we are cooking out this Sunday, because it's my Mom's birthday. I thought the 6th was her birthday, which is why I asked, but I guess my Dad didn't remember correctly until just this week . Sorry guys, I can't go. I wish I could participate more with the club but I'm really busy with school and music. I will try harder to make future runs.

P.S. My Dad and I are putting on my custom fabbed steel diamond plate bumper very soon. Check out my cardomain to see where I'll be putting it. $300 at some place in Denver (I will have a name later), fabbed and painted. You can bet I'll have pics the second it's on!

okay, I'll be bringing a buddy of mine in a rental Rubicon. This aught to be interesting. I'll see the COS guys at 7:15 at the Diamond Shamrock at Baptist and I-25 and I'll see everyone else at the meeting point at 9:00. I can't wait!

Pete, did you get a cb?

If so, give me a call tomorrow on my cell and I will bring my tuning meter, and we can tune the antenna at the shamrock

Well, guys, I hate to back out at the last minute, but we are still homeless, and both jeeps are filled with crap and I haven't had time or a place to prepare either jeep for the trails like I hoped. This move has been hell. I picked up the truck Monday evening, hoping to have everything packed and on the road and arrive Wednesday around noon. Well, my wife and I, along with a two month old and a three year old, packed and cleaned the old place pretty much by ourselves, although one girl friend of ours showed up and helped us out, which was a blessing to have some help at all, but anyways, it was Thursday at noon before we even left Wichita, and pulled into the springs around 2:00 AM. Of course, I managed to get pulled over by a Highway trooper because the all the truck and trailer lights shorted out halfway to CO, so I had to wait for an hour for Budget to send someone to fix the lights. But not twenty miles before all that, I managed to run the truck out of gas not 1/2 mile from a gas station (my own stupidity for thinking I can go just a little further). So, two trips to the gas station with a five gallon gas can and I was back on the road and filled up at the station. Oh, and while the tank was filling, I was cleaning the windshield and heard what sounded to be running water. About five gallons of gas on the ground and I figured out the diesel pumps don't stop automatically when the tank is full.
So, that is the trip here. If anyone is interested in our continuing nightmare since we got here, please ask at the next AA meeting. J/K This 24 foot budget truck is already three days overdue ($70/day) with no way I am unloading it until I get a house (packed to the ceiling, front to rear). We looked at a few places today and found one we want, but it will probably be Wednesday before we can move in.
So, please have a good time for me tomorrow, and I will get to the trails with you guys very soon. I am always up for a meet and greet.

Rock, sorry to hear about your move from hell. I wish there was a way that we could help out. Ted, I haven't been able to manage to get the CB, you wouldn't believe the number of things that we've had to do this past week (actually, I'm sure you can imagine). I'll be bringing 2 FRS radios (1 for me and 1 to lend), not too sure if my buddy is bringing anything. See everyone there.

Well, sorry to hear about all of that Martin...

As usual, I will have 2 AA FRS and 2 AAA FRS, if you need to borrow one, bring 4 AAA batteries. I have AA, but not AAA

Pete I gues it will just be you me and your friend at the shamrock now.

Joel, I will bring my meter for you.

See you all tomorrow.

Martin, if you need help next weekend call me on my cell. I believe I pmed it to you a while ago, if you need it again, let me know.

Ted
