Okay, since i have the rear trac lock LSD in a 2004 Renegade (29 spline), is there a different 4.10 ring and pinion & install kit that I need to buy from the standard 4.10 ring and pinion & install kit?

The same ring and pinion and install kit is used with or without the factory LSD. What are you doing about the fronts?

I don't think so, the difference is in in the carrier. I ordered the Precision Gears C83:410 gears. C83 seems to be the designator for the Chrysler 8 1/4 (which is actually 8 3/8) Its also the first part of the part number for the master rebuild kit from precision, C83MOKIT.

I got mine from http://www.reiderracing.com/, primarily because they were able to get the Dana/Spicer gears for the front. The rear gears are made by a couple of companys but Precision is a pretty good name.

Take this all with a grain of salt, since I haven't had mine installed yet and these could be completely wrong

FWIW, in the parts catalog, there are only 2 gear kits listed. I can't break the code (one is DMF, the other DME) to figure out the actual difference, but I'd think the logical difference would be 3.73 & 4.10. Unlikely it's LSD & non LSD.

Bugnout is right. Same gear set, only the carrier is different. If it's gonna be a DD, I'd pay someone who knows what they are doing to do it right. If your even thinking to add lockers later, cough up the cash now and do it right once, not twice.
