Unfortunately, I can't make it to FITS due to the SFA. My budget is shot all to hell and my wheeling is going to have to stay local until Moab. Heck, I can't even afford to drive out there and see my folks for Xmas. :?

Oh well, at least I shouldn't have to spend much on it for upgrades for a while.

Fine JJ, you've forced me to do it. I'll be out there January 15th to pick her up. I'll take her to FITSIII for you. But this will be the LAST time. In '09 you'll have to drive it. pm me with the details where we'll meet up. lol

Seriously, that is super cool that it'll be ready to wheel very soon. Can't wait to see it when we met again on the trails.

later, mike

It never fails. Just when you think you got it close the little things start to hit ya. The front coils showed but shocks are being built and hopefully will be here in a couple days. And still waiting on rear coils.... Time to yell at Seth!! I need longer brake lines than the ones I got over a year ago from Jeepin' By Al so hopefully we can get those quickly this week. Everything was installed back underhood and I installed the front upper shock mounts where the stock upper strut mount used to be. Naturally I forgot to snap some pics of those.....

The rear is In:
Image
Image

Steering box bolted in. (bracket still needs final finishing after final decision on the trac bar and then bracket is welded in)
Image
Image

Front steering is on and looking good: (just need a drop pitman to keep the angles real nice)
Image
Image

Super flat belly skid assy. Not much to drag on underneath w/ the flat belly and kicked up control arms and rear diff skid. Thing is smooth.
Image
Image

Preview look. Not at ride height but about half way between ride height and full droop.
Image

I can hardly stand waiting any longer knowing how close it is getting. hopefully the rest of the parts will show up in time to get it done this upcoming week.

Working fine for me. Are you viewing from somewhere that blocks photobucket pics? (they don't work for me from work for example)

She's finally coming together and I must say, quite nicely. Congrats! I know it feels great to see all of your investments (time, money, and effort) finally take shape. Good luck with the rest of the build and hopefully, you won't encounter any more major SNAFUs. Looks like after performing a few of these SFA swaps (actually, a lot more than that), All J's has 'em down pact. Once again, congrats! Looking forward to the final pics.

looks great, good work, but have you come up with how the exhaust is going to run yet? Looks kind of tight for pipes, muffler etc unless its just the pics

Looks great JJ.

Pics weren't working last night (or day in Holland lol).

I like the countersunk bolts in the skid assembly. No more need to hammer sockets onto banged up bolts

Can't wait to see it.

Would help if I could read your location properly. guess I haven't woke up yet.

But I also had a problem with the pictures working for some time. Told me "unauthorized access" when I tried to view the photobucket account.

There appears to be enough room under the skid to snake the exhaust through but it is going to be tight and require some custom work. A competent exhaust shop shouldn't have a problem but it is going to cost me. The shop that will be doing it is basically right across the street from All J's.

Currently shopping for stainless flex tubing in case it is needed in a couple spots......

So Nth makes those long arms for the KJ? With those, other than setting up the steering and cutting all the old stuff off, it doesnt look like a bad job once you get all the mounts on the axles.
