Yeah, and I have an advantage because I live in Utah. I could like come over and tickle you or something... Wow, that was lame... Wait, we can't talk about that kind of stuff here! Image

I really should be studying for finals right now but I'm having too much fun.

Yes I know the above link lists ZJ, but he uses the same format for the KJ according to the page prior to the one I linked above.

I have never done any rock crawling but it seems that his nerf bars/steps would bend up if he leaned his KJ on them. But as a step they look pretty good.

the spare tire rack has got to be flipped to the driver side so it swings out in the same direction as the door. Look how hard it would be to access the rear storage area with it the way it is. :?

Kinda uncalled for don't ya think? At least he did something for his KJ that he liked and he did something different.

Oh, it's different all right. No argument there...

Doc, you're gonna get me banned one of these days.

I have no power to do that. your comments are whats gonna get you banned. As you said, it was your opinion, im just saying mine....All I said was the guy put allot of time and effort into that project. At least give him that...

Most people don't give a care in the world what I write until you point out how "racist" or "uncalled for" my comments are. What's responsible for starting a fire, the spark or the tinder? You're the spark in the reaction, and therefore it will be your fault when I get my butt thrown out of this forum.

Relax, man. If he likes the way his bumpers turned out, more power to him.

Loves to pass the blame to others.

Can't say sometyhing constructive or even nice, don't say anything, right AbsoluteRenegade

Not trying to hurt anyones feelings here on this forum as I do enjoy coming here and learning about my jeep, but I have noticed that this forum in particular has alot of members who have their panties on two sizes too small.

I was on a JK forum the other day and they were spitting, cursing, biting, ranking on each other and everbody else along with their mothers and no body was crying or telling on the other person or any other doodoo (because I am not allowed to curse on here) that might offend many people on this sweet, little, innocent KJ forum.

I think the site needs to be manned up a little, people already think the KJ is a sissy jeep. Well IMHO this forum sometimes proves that very statement.

PS - please don't ban me, I am addicted to this site.

BTW, those bumpers are fugly but I do give him props for building it on his own.

I've been here for a little while now. and I've always like this forum. Very rarely do heated disagreements happen. Everyone has always been kind and respectful. I am used to the kind of hate speech on the Dallas Cowboy forum. I am a huge fan and that website has been out of control this week (You'd have thought they had a 1-13 record and not 12-2). So coming back here has been refreshing.

Back on the real topic. Rear is ok. Front...it's needs to be streamlined a bit. It looks too boxy. Other than that I give props to they guy for doing it. I wish I had the time.

Who was it that hit a deer the other day. GOD help the deer if that front bumper was on the KJ. TOAST!!!!!!!

With all the flat face metal, you could lighten it up buy cutting some round holes in it for ram air and lights. Might look like the front of the "Family Truckster" from National Lampoons Vacation,

Image

but it would break it up some and ad some function to all that flat metal.

What I like: Looks to be good craftsmanship, clean lines and welds etc. Looks really tough! I would like to see it Photoshopped on the boxier KK if anyone could do that? The rear bumper flat area under the lights could easily house additional back up lights or oil slick dispensers, or tail light guards.

What I dislike: The rear tire carrier doesn't seem to swing to the center to cover up the space where the spare used to sit. Needs more lights or a winch in the front bumper area.

Maybe the SWAT Team could get some use out of this thing.

To Anyone that feels that this forum should change and be more like other forums:

The mods and admins would prefer to not have to deal w/ the BS drama found on other forums and that is why we do what we do. We volunteer to do this job and and we are also trying to enjoy this forum.

Please Feel free to get your E-drama elsewhere.

Thanks

no joke, its nice to get on a good forumn with lots of good info w/o having to deal with everyone cursing at each other and putting their builds down

that was me who hit the deer WoodysKJ

but back to the bumper I like the back up light on the bumper and the turn signals?? is that what they are? anyways that rear bumper has given me some ideas for my rear bumper

he does have some nice fab skills way better than me

Since I posted on this way back about three pages ago........looking at it again if anyone is building there own, a little smaller, a little more curver, they just look to boxy. Yes good welding from what you can see, but looks like it was made for something else and then just put on the Liberty. Plus whats been mentioned about the rear tire swing, open to the left and either kept to one side or centered. To me things have to flow well to look good on any vehicle, and these do not.
