Time to scrape the rust off my skidplates :)

Anette, there is an illness going around that has a 10 day incubation period. I think it's called Iwanawheelitis. On the 29th, you'll be too sick to work.

Sounds like the SFA is done :D

Can someone provide directions from San Diego? Not sure where the ranger station is. Heck not even real sure where the 14 is...

Nope, no SFA yet...... probably wheel my XJ or wifes KJ.

FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS To get to the park area. Once you get to the 14 you will hang a left and the ranger station will be down the road on your right. The ranger station is on the 14 fwy which runs through Lancaster/Palmdale/Rosamond/Mojave, etc. LMK if you need more info.

Believe me I have it bad...haven't been out since the last LLC run. But if I call in sick on the 29th I won't get paid for the 31st and 1st, and on the 1st is the Hang-over Crawl. I'll be getting paid to wheel that day :D Can't beat that

12/29 I'll be wheeling Rainbow Basin north of Barstow. 12/30, similar but less so. Ben

Wish I could make it but I'll be in NM during that time. JJ, I'm interested in your possible run at the end of Jan though.

Pencil me in, it's tentative on how my wife's doing, she hasn't been feeling well lately. If she's better, we'll be up.

Thanks, I'm having second thoughts after seeing the videos you posted up in the past trail runs forum. The wedge looks nasty, and I don't have sliders yet. is there a pass around that area?

Yes, Bypasses for anything too tough and I will be taking it easy myself.

it is a cool area with a neat canyon trail and some nice views and also a lot of mining history. I would rate it an easy trail overall and we had a stock XJ make it through all of the regular trail w/ no problem.

Hey...im going to see you guys out there since there's no snow in BB to play in. I'll Probably stop at the denny's in Mojave for some sub par grub before hitting the trail around 8'ish ? Any plans to check out Bickle Camp or Burro Schmidt's tunnel ?

Probably a good thing to remind everyone to gas up prior to hitting the meeting spot . It can also be really cold in the desert around this time so bring some layers to put on or peel off ....but you guys already know that 8)

Yeah, I will be trying to hit hit the spots we saw last trip out or at least close to them. I need to go over my gps files from the last trip to see what I captured. I think I can at least get us a little LOST as usual.
Hopefully w/ your help we can get LOST for sure!!

Looking forward to seeing ya!

It will be tomorrow!

The Primo Burger in Mojave is a great spot to grab a bite on the way up there. I will probably stop for a breakfast burrito myself.

Located at 16862 Highway 14 in the Stater Bros. shopping center.
