Put a vacuum gage in the tubing line between the head the the CP3, see how much vacuum it pulls at idle, then at 3500rpm - if it's down around 10" something's plugged - if it's ~2-3", squeeze the tubing on the inlet side with pliers, see if the vacuum increases - if not the CP3 is bad, or there is a terrible air leak in the head or in that tubing between the head and the CP3

I had the same problem exactly. Dealer found bad injector circuit or module, plug to the fuel injector was broken. Mechanic installed a new one, cost $125.00, runs great now. Can't tell you the location of the plug, mechanic never showed it to me. Had the same codes you do and he also found code P0202, which is for the injector, hope this helps. I also have a love/hate relationship with my CRD. Right now, I'm in love! I bought it because because I make my own biodeisel fuel for about .90/gallon, turned an old 80 gal hot water tank into what they call an Appleseed Processor, works good so far. Good luck with your problem. Hope this helps.

I have not seen if yours is a 05 or 06 but if it's a 06 the large harness from the engine that goes behind the filter rubbs on the filter head bracket in a area that has a sharp corner and has caused problems before. They changed the routing on the 06 and the harness is highter as I recall (could be lower). The filter bracket has a section where the corner is formed over and on the 05 the harness is in there. It might be worth looking at it.

Hi Joe,

I have a 2006. Is there an easy fix for this?

It looks like I've got some more stuff to check!! thanks everyone for the replies. I don't need the jeep for a week or so, so I have plenty of time to do some troubleshooting before I call the dealer(the ONLY reason I'll call the dealer is if there turns out to be an expensive part that is covered under the 7/70)

2005 btw

I'll also contact the gas station to see if anyone else has had a problem. What are the odds that they will answer me honestly?

If you got bad fuel you'll know it by draining a bit from the WIF section into a clear bottle - if it was the Dodge-type filter, you could pull it up out of the housing for an inspection, but you're probably unable to see anything inside that closed filter cannister

There was no water in the filter, and the fuel looked normal to me. I drained some out of the WIF sensor at the bottom when I changed the filter.
