Saw this post on NC4x4 the other day, my friends were making jokes about it untill the guy who posted told everyone the KJ had the best traction there. Was this anyone from the forums?

If you can't see it here is the picture

I didn't see much "hating", just a couple small voices in a sea that didn't care.

that YJ was BURIED though! nice!

Yea, the NC4X4 guys are actually not too concerned with the abject bashing of KJs. I'm sure they would bash my KJ if I went in there saying the that KJ is the best thing ever built and that I could out perform their 42" tire-shod rock-buggies, or some other such stupid thing.

I also thought it was cool that the stuck guy commented that the KJ probably had the best traction out there. It was a CRD...heavy and torquey. 8) Not me though.

So who's Liberty was that pulling him out anyway? That thread says the guy in the Liberty is planning on getting the 6" lift after the holidays. Curious minds want to know.

That looks like the same stuff we got at first with the wifes KJ out on the trail
now it is no biggie to folks when they see one just another rig on the trail for the guys who have seen us wheel
the folks who dont are the "you really going to wheel a liberty?" people

one of the first times we had our KJ out we wheeled with some guys with rigs like that and just like we want to watch them
they had a blast watching what the KJ would do and were even impressed by it
especially when we crossed a log that was 12"+ high with a stock KJ ,good line and GREAT spotter

So there are leagues now? You're starting to get on my nerves, incase you wanted to know. Everyone is out there to do the same thing: have fun. It stops being fun when people out there (like you) start attacking what people are bringing to the table.

I never pay any attention to any of them that are like"The only true 4X4 is ___________! " Most are full of hot air , and you will find most of the older guys that have been 4 wheeling for years are more understanding, they may give you a hard time in fun but thats about it.
I have wheeled with everything out there from stock Subaru Brats to full on trailered in trail rigs, seen them all hung up and need a strap every now and again.
As far as this post goes it didnt seem bad to me only one person really and so what seems we are making a bigger deal out of it than they did on their site!
Just keep being positve and show them you can take a joke and go out and have a good time. The Liberty, the way I have mine sitting now, is the most near stock vehicle I have owned for over 30 years and I enjoy it everyday!

I think it is important to point out that the YJ was in mud up to it's nipples and the KJ was the recovery vehicle. Obviously the KJ had better ground to pull with. I am sure the jokes would be flying if the vehicles were reversed. That being said... I like to see the KJ getting some exposure as a capable wheeler. Not a bare bones rock crawler, and most KJers don't wan that, but a fun platform by which we can get a little muddy, if we wish.

One other important point is that there are over 45 years of CJ, Tj YJ, etc of after market parts and off roading experience. KJ has only been out for a few years. Took a LONG time to get respect for the XJ.

The KJ, with all it's computer driven emission control mini van transmission limitations, is starting to get lots of looks by wheelers. It all takes time and lets have fun along the way.

Ooookkkaaayyyyyyyy...your point is what with that post? That you are annoyed with me  Good for you, heres a cookie. And just an FYI I have lead KJs before through some of my local trails, some off of this forum, others who aint on this forum. You guys are all a good bunch of guys for the most part. There are some on this forum, such as yourself that are all bout your KJs and anytime someone looks at em wrong you get all defensive and would rather throw words round and sound tough...some of yall basically are sayin is "My KJ is TOO a jeep!! I have 4x4 and it says jeep right on the hood!!!" I know the KJ is capable and its just as much a jeep as any of the others but......guess what I got news for ya, just go out and wheel. Thats how yall get your KJs the respect they deserve. It has been proven to me many times over by members on this board that Ive wheeled with that KJs are very capable in thier element. But you cant prove it to me unless you wheel with me or show me some proof of wheelin. And as for your comment bout me being the guy who stops makin it fun, hows about you ask some of the guys on this board that know me and that Ive wheeled with and then come back and say the same thing. I have no hate for the KJ whatsoever...

To CLARIFY my comment so you dont get your panties in a bunch...when I said the liberty seemed a bit outta his league I was referrin to the TYPE of wheelin that was being done. In this case it was thick stupid deep bog mud. Never have and I wouldnt doubt it if I ever do see a KJ attempt a hole like that, hence why I said it seemed outta its league. There was no hate in my comment, unlike yours...and btw what have I done to get on your nerves

I'd rather see the Trooper myself, but pics of the wagoneer will do:D that Trooper is the same color as my old one, and from what I can see, it has a bad-arse bumper on it.
Nice thing is, that Isuzu logo just snaps in the grille:D
