we put the Isuzu logo on a GMC s10 ( that is carzy built) as a joke when he was not looking. got a lot of laughs. here are a few pics of the Isuzu (me ridding shot gun) and even some of the of the GMC.

That trooper's a LOT less stock than mine was! WOW, that's cool...and I guess I was wrong about the folor, I just saw the primered hood. Does it have a 2.6 or a 2.8 or a 3.1? or has it long since had an engine swap? it's a beast...I miss mine because I could ram it into anything and not feel the least bit bad (not a straight panel on the truck...) and pretty much bulletproof. mine never broke ANYTHING.

I like that Sonoma too, that's a nice lookin rig...Willys is very cool, but I think I'd crap myself riding in something with no roof, rollbar, or seatbelts

X2

now back to the "KJ hating"
guys look you all tend to get "stupid hurt" when some one finds a post on another forum where they talk down the
KJ ,but dont ya'll do the same thing to the FJ or the Xterra?
In my time I spend promoting the Off-Roaders Expo I visit the FJ and Xterra boards and they do the same
Wrangler guys are the most stuck up of all but it happens ,there is always one
how ever the Wrangler as a whole has "proved its metal" more than once so they "have nothing to prove"
now in my limited are ,the places I wheel, I have seen MANY different rigs and I am going to say that most people are like me and base what they know on what they see and I think this is where the "hate" comes from
Besides my self ,really my WIFE witch further lends to the "girl Jeep" image, there is only 1 other KJ that wheels locally
now that is 200X better than the local Xterras they are 0 but the FJ's right now 5 to 1 if not more on the local IN Louisiana
trails out side LA and in the public parks there are WAY more FJ's than KJ but this is only where I wheel LA ,TX ,AR ,MS ,AL
and NC

If ya'll as a group want the hate to stop then do like the FJ people do
start having BIG events every MONTH not 1 a year and have them where people can drive ~500 miles and be there
dont exclude others but make darn sure that it is at least 2-1 KJ's to what ever
organize and promote it
have give aways offer several different level's of trails ect.

I have the place in the south and would be more than happy to do it
it is not that hard to organize on my end some one make a flyer ,I dont do art, put them on every KJ in your area
every one with in 500 miles of the park do that and I would bet 50-100 KJ's in the first year
invite a few magazines out and get 1 to show and the KJ hate will start to end
Now I will not even take the first step to do this until I get 5 KJ's from this board to show up to a ride
and I dont want to hear this "I got school" or "It's to far to drive" crap
I work 50 or more hours a week ,I have a wife and a 6 month old baby and I still have time to go wheel even for a 2 day trip I find time and the drive is also BS because the local park is 4+ hours 1 way for me and I drive it in a TJ on bias ply swampers with a 3 speed auto so I have not only the noise from the soft top but also the engine cranking out 3000 rpm
jeep walkin all over the road but I still do it
and hell I have done the 4 hour trip there after 4+ hours driving for work set up a tent wheeled 1 day ,Saturday
wheeled 1/2 day on Sunday and drove home
This may be why the Wrangler guys get all the love ,people know what they go through to be on the trails but some how they seem to make it

I am not pointing the finger at any one person, just pointing out some of the attitude that is being felt around here.
There is some hating going on here and that is not what LOST is about.

It is about time that WE, LOST people, start to be the ones who welcome ALL to this hobby.
We are LOST because We were once (and still are in some eyes) the ones on the outside looking in. WE have been bashed as much or more than other Jeeps but we have also proven that our KJ's can play too & many times over.
I personally don't think we have anything left to prove and I too get tired of hearing about people putting us down but the truth is that not everyone is going to play nice.
It is up to US to change that. We should be the better persons and accept all vehicles to the game. Doing so has worked great for us for many years now in many areas and we have the people on our side to prove it.

WE do not have to be defensive any more. WE just need to accept that some don't get IT (YET) and when they look down on you just ask them to go wheeling or ask them for help or just start talking Jeeps and Jeeping. Break the ice however you can and then get to know those other Jeepers & off roaders.
Yeah not all of them will come around but in mine and many others experience, they are just like us and it only takes a little effort for them to realize it regardless of the vehicle we drive or what it says on the hood or side.

The bottom line is that every one of us that enjoys our Jeeps, or other 4x4's, and going out and using them is in a fight and we all need to join together as best as we can and fight back against those that would take your trails away. AND, I don't care if you don't go wheeling all that much either. Some day you might want to just go camping or fishing and find out that you can't get to that favorite spot you once visited w/ your family or friends because a trail was closed.

LOST will NO longer put up w/ bashing or BS about any other Jeep or 4x4. WE will be the ones to be different and accepting of others and if YOU don't like It, You don't have to click on the LOST KJ's link any more.

Please note that like I said before. I am not talking to any one person and this is not in response to any one post or thread. This is in response to the whole forum and a note to everyone here. WE are going to change our ways or be asked to leave. I say that about 99.5% of US get IT and we just need to get back to IT and work to better this forum and OUR hobby.

Thanks and Please continue to enjoy the LOST forum!! :D

My cousins had (I think) a '46 CJ2A. Still had the stock trans, 4 cyl motor, and PTO. Fun little truck.

Ok I would like to say that in my area Tri cities TN (northeast TN) I have never had the chance to wheel with another KJ. I would love to though. I wheel with everything from land rovers to jeeps. The only negative remarks I have heard about my KJ from guys are that they wouldn’t scratch the paint on it (I'm not scared of trail rash and chicks dig body damage). Some also advise me that I can not make it on some trails, but everyone is always VERY impressed by what my KJ will do. Even when it was stock. I have went threw sections of trails that a rover and 2 TJ's had to back up and attempt a few time and the KJ did not spin a tire (street tires). I’m not at all claming that my KJ is the most capable rig by any means but I am normally what everyone is talking about after the ride. I’ve always been very welcomed in this sport and have met many great people and friends out on the trails. there will never be world peace so I’m sure everyone will not always get along on the trail, but u really have to pick ur battles in life and let the petty stuff go. Also everyone I have meet and talked to on L.O.S.T. has been very nice and welcoming. This is a great forum in my opinion.

ok so now more pics of that Willy

Also anyone that wants to make a good ride in this area, the place where these pictures came from is a great place to go. The park is called Callantee there are over 300 miles of trails and there are also cabins that u can rent and palces u can bring a camper or tent camp. It has something for everyone from mild to wild and cost around 10 bucks to ride all day ( about 100 for 2 room cabin ) anyone who would like to make a ride this way i would love to ride with some KJs and could also get my local club to come out if needed. please feel free to PM me if interested in riding in the smokies. there are also a ton of nice trails in the area if anyone would like to make a weekend out of this trail and maybe Tellico or Harland.

I agree get me a bib, their is just something about an old Willys that will always say Jeep. No to mention the utalitarian Army Jeep is History on 4 wheels nastolgia and all. Like an old MG or bare bones sports car just good clean or in the Jeeps case muddy FUN.

That right there is what I am talking about and what this forum is about. Wheeling with everyone you can find to wheel with. Regardless of the badge on the fender or hood, we are all in it for the same basic reasons and we need to stick together. We know that we can't change the world and every opinion in it but every time a KJ shows up and wheels with a different group of vehicles it changes peoples opinions. Those opinions then flow over into the forums and into future trail rides. We have made huge progress in the last several years and changed many opinions. As time goes on it will get better for all wheelers as long as LOST continues to lead the way in every forum and on every trail ride or event we attend.

(man I am just wearing out this here soap box  )

i'd love to show y'all that grand wagoneer, but i don't know how to post pics. by the way, it is for sale!!!
since i have moved into the renegade, after buyin the wife a cute little convertable, i have found that i don't need the big ugly wagon anymore!
i never would have believed it some years back, but i'm no longer the "wagonman" i used to be. i'm now the "libertyman"!!! believe me, if i can be converted, anyone can. granted, i do still like to hear all that horsepower rumblin thru them pipes, but it turns out to be more trouble than it is worth.
i don't get my feelins hurt when the uninformed laugh or make dumb comments, i just show 'em. besides, i'm too old and fat to carry on with 'em in argumentation and arm wrestlin at the trail head. i talk to 'em at the end of the ride...

its real easy, upload the pics from your camera to the computer, then go to photobucket.com create an account or not i like to have one then just click upload photos and find where you put your pics from the camera, then click upload, when it is done a new page will appear scrool down until you find the pic your looking for the under the pic there are some options click on the img code then come back here and right click and select paste then submit
