a couple nights ago coming from the movie theater with an old friend, we had to hop on a couple of highways to get back to denver... both had some curves that were quite agressive. the jeep took them with confidence and like a champ. and whats this... a grin on my face? then the deep voice next to me exclaims "gosh, you drive this thing like its a mini cooper or something!" i knew it handled great, but never this great until the other night! the steering has no on center dead spot, if you nudge it in either direction something actually happens! body roll is there, but this is one suv that dosent throw its weight around and it remains tight and controlled in turns. theres not much in the way of feedback from the steering wheel (not a bad thing, afterall this is an off roader), but it does give you an idea of where you're at on tire adhesion; but the good part is that the steering does in fact tighten up at highway speeds. it dosent lane wander either! plodding down highways and city streets, this thing feels kinda like a tank its so solid! i honestly believe this is one of the best non- crossover SUV ive ever piloted... i hope jeep didnt go soft on me with the new kk
