Nah...I got the master on it (Mike R)but thanks for the offer of help JJ.

Seems there's a problem with the XJ Axle that I swapped in. It's making a noise and has eaten the new bearings. Now that the second set of bearings are in it's still making the noise. Can't wait to get it fixed since it seems like a year since i've wheeled it.

Another great day in the Desert. Couldn't have asked for better weather and better folks to wheel with.
Thanks to Ed & his family, Steve, Mike and his Family for coming out to wheel.

Looking forward to getting back there again in near future to see all the things we missed this trip.

More pics added to the trail report forum http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=283180#283180.

We finally got back home a little after nine. Youngest boy ended up getting sick again on the ride home. Gotta fumigate and steam clean the KJ today. We had a lot of fun on the trail though. Thanks to John, Ed, &Steve, and all the their families.

What a fun day! Nothing difficult, the weather cooperated, and the scenery out there is great. It was good to see JJ and Ed. I enjoyed meeting Mike and his family and hope to see them on the trail again. I'll be posting a few pictures soon.
Steve

Man, that was fun!
Good wheeling, good scenery and a great group of people to wheel with. :D
JJ, it was great, as always. It was nice to see steve again and a pleasure to meet Mike & his family. My son had a great time with your two kids, Mike.

Here are a few of my photos....

OK so I have to ask , what are they digging for back in all those holes/ tunnels ? Diamonds, precious jewels, copper, salt, gravel, sand, money, ......WHAT?? Just curious

Great pictures as always by the way, Thanks for sharing so we on the Right side of the country can see what we are missing!

The large holes/tunnels are Talc mines. the small tunnel is Burrow Schmidt's mine. started as a copper mine, then the guy just kept digging away for 38 years till he reached the other side of the mountian... More info at http://www.bickelcamp.org/BurroSchmidt.html

Hey Clint,
You should retire.
I'll even sacrifice myself and take your job, just so that you can relax
