Ouch I don't know about it at that price. I think I may just wipe the OEM ones with some old rags every now and then.

Any idea yet on how much we can save with a group buy discount?

Not unless you get them from a vendor in the UK. Samco will not sell anything direct. Depending on the cost of shipping(it cost me about $35 to ship the set of used hoses to Samco), it might be cheaper to buy them from a vendor in the UK.

We will have to see what the groupbuy cost will be from a vendor in the US.

If you can actually mandrel bend replacement hoses for $70 and then buy silicon connectors and some new clamps you could do that cheaper than even $250. For most people replacing the stock hoses will cost around $250, these will cost $300 and not need to be replaced multiple times like the stock hoses.

The only downsides I can see by not buying them now in the groupbuy will be: 1) You will pay full price later. 2) When your hoses finally do go you would be waiting around a week or so for either a stock hose or a set of Samco hoses.

Aye theres the rub, spend $100 per hose and hope that they dont fail for another 50k miles. Or spend $300 at once at know you wont have problems again. It's a tough call.

Welp, at 290 Euro youll save about 85Euro over buying them locally, and it should be much less than 85Euro to ship(more like 25 Euro). So in any case, for you it seems like it will be somewhat cheaper to buy the Samco hoses(even from the US), and you will get a better product that will not fail like the stockers.

Not gonna hazard a guess, I went out on enough of a limb guessing at $200, not doin that again.

I'm in. Don't know if I will put them on and hold the old ones as a spare or keep the originals on until after warranty but sooner or later I will want a set and I might as well get them now.

They looked great on Steve's CRD.

Well, we better be in a groupbuy, otherwise theres not much point if you can just order it whenever you want for the same price. I am curious to see how much of a discount we will be able to get, and how many people the discount will be contingent upon.

Well, to be totally honest- we don't know how well the Samco hoses will do over time either. Maybe they'll figure a way to make them so they don't rub like yours do. I'd bet a hose that rubs on engine parts will last less than one that fits well but has some oil in it. :? Is there some sort of warranty with these?

Samco is making some minor changes to the hose in question and I will be checking it for fitment. Though like I said before, I dont think the rubbing will be any real concern to us in the final product.

Like I've said before, if you cannot find a reasonible price from a local vendor I will be willing to ship some sets overseas special to people.

I can see me not ending up getting these  as there may not even be a vendor stocking them in Uk as Liberty's (cherokees) are thin on the ground. They'll end up sending them all to USA in the group buy ,and i will have to pay for delivery twice ,i only live 200 miles from the Samco factory. SirSam when you are in talks with them would it possible to ask if people in Uk bought them in a group buy would the be able to post direct or maybe pick them up from reception at the factory instead of having to post them around the world several times.Just a thought. And i would be willing to pick up anyone elses who had ordered in the group buy from Europe or AUS and post them off ,so that none of us miss this oppurtunity.

I doubt the hoses will be drop shipped from samco. The way I think it will work is that a vendor will order stock, and then sell that stock. In this case we will arrange a groupbuy through a vendor.

These are all things that will have to get worked out when we actually get to the point of arrangeing a groupbuy, and thats still a little ways off.
