not sure who said it first, but the jeep/dodge/chrysler corp should be broken out into REAL JEEPS, DODGE TRUCKS/VIPER and chrysler everything else. why all the cross border, platform shared models were given the go ahead is beyond me.

I've said it several times and I'll say it again. Jeep employees should take HD's lead and buy the company. HD's employees run the company better than AMF ever dreamed of and I think that Jeeps could do the same.

Some of the best run companies are employee owned as long as it is not an elite group who think they know it all, but are nothing but great at stupid K!$$!ng. My former employer suffered from the dreaded illness of stupid K!$$!ng and P.C. the point where some of the customers came down with a butt rash!
The company I work for now is privately owned and we are a team dedicated to a quality product and we work hard to make it happen.

One advantage Harley Davidson had over other companies was the fact that the Bikers who took over had one thing in common from the CEO to the Delivery truck driver, their passion for a quality product. Jeep people could pull it off like Harley Davidson, but they will need to weed out every one who does not share the passion for a great product. We could all hope and dream.
