As you all may remember, I had an unfortunate incident with a rock this past hunting season and had to replace the engine cradle (dent pictured below). Well, shortly after that I ordered a SkidRow Skid plate from AllJ products. After about 2 months of waiting, and the skid plate having not shown up, I got myself all worked up and called AllJ's to "inquire" about it's whereabouts.

When I got ahold of the folks at AllJ's, they said they would look into it and call me back. I agreed, and about 5 minutes later, they called back and said a claim has been made with UPS and that a new one would be on it's way the next day. I thought, WOW! I didn't have to get upset at anyone, raise my voice, or even go through some drawn out process. It was "I haven't received my order", and they took care of everything else! SPECTACULAR service. I will order through them again. Next up is the Frankie. Oh yea, the skid plate has been installed and is pictured below. Bring on the rocks!

Eeep.

That's a darn witch of a dent you got back then. My engine cradle is a little rusty around where the LCAs attach to the cradle. I just hope I can clean it up and protect it again at the next oil change.

Skid Row plates are the best.
How much did it end up costing your to replace the cradle? Did you do it yourself?

The cradle was a total $545.75 used ($450 + $35 shipping + 13% tax). A new cradle would have run a little over $850 plus tax and shipping. The re+re took 4.5 hours shop time ($350ish), $90 for a wheel alignment, plus a case of beer $22.00 to "grease the wheels" so to speak ;) came to a total of $1007.75

The new skid plate had cost me $300 with shipping, however, Canada decided to tack on an import charge of $78 for a total cost of $378.

Yea, that was covered in the original post. I didn't want to rely on someone doing the job properly only to find out that it wasn't done correctly down the road, especially considering that it's such a structurally important part.
